County commissioners come from many different backgrounds, such as jobs or home lives. They can be nurses, doctors, farmers, lawyers, teachers, etc. They are elected officials. Basically, their job is to keep the county efficient. Without them it would be chaos. They are in charge of numerous things like roads, tax collection, trail building, community planning, public safety, and public health. These things impact our everyday lives. I mean without our county commissioners what kind of state would our roads be in? Where would all the money go? What about our public safety and health? Everything would be disorganized and dangerous. They take care of the Economic Development, Board of Equalization, funding jails, and meet with people.
The government officials have a scope of duties that they are required deal. The governor may create the budget, appoint executive boards, and declare martial law, so the scope of the governor’s duties range from budget to martial law. I believe citizens will find the budget very important because that is where their tax money is and people typically want to know where that is going. The lieutenant governor is the president of the Senate, which according to the textbook by Benson, Clinkscale, and Giardino, “many political scientist believe…is the most powerful position in the state,” (218). The senate is a part of the Texas legislature, so making laws is very important to the public because the citizens are the ones who have to abide by the law. The attorney general is elected by the public and basically the state’s lawyer, so his issues are important to the people because he deals with making laws (Benson, Clinkscale, and Giardino 220). The comptroller is “the state’s chief accountant and financial officer,” so the public should be interested in the financial aspects of the state (Benson, Clinkscale, and Giardino 221). The land commissioner manages leases and the state’s public land, so the issues that are under the title may not be as important as the comptroller or lieutenant governor’s

The people at the helm of affairs are responsible for formulating rules, procedures and guidance and are for enforcing the rules. There are clear cut boundaries for each of the roles.

Arizona’s constitution affects its counties in many ways; first off they need to follow the generic design prescribed by the state constitution and statutes. According to the Constitution of Arizona section XII, it states that each county shall have the following elected officials: sheriff, county attorney, recorder, treasurer, assessor, superintendent of schools, and at least three supervisors. Each of these positions holds a four year in office term, and each supervisor is nominated and elected by a district within the county. The state of Arizona has fifteen counties all of which were established during the territorial period, when towns were relatively small and far between each other. Counties of more than 500,000 residents may form a county charter to determine county laws, which helps strengthen county governments by allowing them to make their own decisions and not having to ask the state legislature. Each county is governed differently depending on its size, each county brings with it its own challenges, but they still have to hold true to the state constituti...
One purpose of government is to preserve order. There are many ways the government does that; one way is having a police force. The police are an important part of the executive branch which enforces laws made by the legislative branch. The police keep the peace by catching lawbreakers who are then tried in court and punished for inappropriate behavior.
A circuit clerk is a sectary to the court. They keep up with all the marriage files that every been made in the county. Even when the person is dead they keep their name locked in, in the system. Maintaining the rrecords of the court and what not is a big responsibility. You have to be trust worthy and even smart to hold this spot. They circuit clerk is like a secatary of the schoo; they monitor everything that goes on. When a juvenile goes to court, he or she puts that in the book. Registering people to vote me a big part of being a secretary. They either have to pull up files of people that already registered or make sure they register them. Lost files in the court house gets blamed on the clerk because they hold full responsibly of that certain thing. You have to have the right heart to be a clerk. Either you have the ability to stand up for yourself or know how to rule things.
To start off, agency administration can vary from department to department. The agency’s administration will depend on what kind of department they are. A police department is a law enforcement agency that is governed by the city, whereas a sheriff’s department is governed by the county. A sheriff’s department is higher up than a police department. For example, a sheriff’s department can patrol in city limits, but a police department cannot patrol outside of city limits. That being said, in rural areas, the police department and sheriff’s department have mutual aid, which simply means that if the sheriff’s department needs assistance outside of city limits, the police department will assist them, and vice versa.
Along with these duties they must maintain case management files and field notes. Their job requires them to compile data, track and monitor offender data. Without this responsibility an offender would be able to go wherever they wanted. monitors and ensures payments of restitution and cost of supervision fees from offenders; serves as duty officer; completes monthly reports; monitors and enforces sex offender registration; may supervise staff; may perform additional duties such as lead probation and parole officer, field training officer, firearms instructor.

Public health as it is implicated in the lives of the community – it is important to conceptualise what this might mean. Moreover, public health has seen as a multidiscipline perspective in which it can be defined on many levels, and I find that it could be elusive to understand its meaning. By simple understanding of public health, I refer to an approach derived by Winslow (1920) and Baggott (2000).
Preventing crime is very important, even though I believe that the first two responsibilities I mentioned also help to prevent crime. Preventing crime is very important, because police can deter individuals from committing more crimes or can even prevent them from committing a crime in the first place. Also, law enforcement can prevent a crime from happening by being present in the right place at the right time. When officers do their patrols of neighborhoods and busy streets, I believe that they catch a lot of people doing bad things. These individuals could be harassing other individuals or acting belligerent in public. There are a variety of offenses that an officer could possibly prevent, perhaps, not as many serious crimes, but I believe that they can prevent many demeanor crimes from
A local government is a political subdivision of the state, constituted by law and may or may not have substantial or much control over local affairs. “Under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, all powers not granted to the federal government are reserved for the states and the people. All state governments are modeled after the federal government and consist of three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The U.S. Constitution mandates that all states uphold a "republican form" of government, although the three-branch structure is not required” (State and Local Government 2014)Therefore, Local Governments exercise certain basic powers like police power, and the power to implement social services so as to best serve the interest and promote the general welfare of their respective inhabitants. In order for the autonomy of Local Government to function, the national and or federal government places the power to delegate authority to the state that then transfers these basic powers to the local governments to allow for the inclusion of its constituents in governmental and local affairs by what we call decentralization. Often times the state government divides powers between the local governments which usually include two divisions: municipalities and counties. Counties are usually the largest and broadest geographic area and include many local governments however; a county’s power is very miniscule compared to city government. Generally in North Carolina, local governments do not have the power or authority do anything unless it is explicitly granted or enumerated in the state constitution. Although cities have a large range of delegated authority and counties have the least, the state government would still exerci...
