Controversy About Labels In The Fashion Industry

Fashion designer, Perrie Samotin once said “Fashion is not necessarily about labels. It’s not about brands. It’s about something else that comes from within you” (Samotin). Fashion is one of the many things people use to express themselves. With this, you would think that people would not get offended by what others wear. Sadly in this modern world we live in today, people are offended by many things. A thing that is often considered offensive and inappropriate is the modern fashion and the industry that surrounds it. This is a short-sighted mindset. Fashion and the fashion industry are not offensive, the problem is with how people are too sensitive about things and want to blame anything but themselves for the problems.

People are able to look at shirts that say boys are stupid, throw rocks at them without finding it offensive as they know it is a joke, the same goes for shirts like this.
