My goal is to identify and demonstrate effective program management techniques. In order to accomplish that goal, I will demonstrate positive attitude when working with children and their families. I will show commitment to the program standards, develop appropriate practice and awareness of the competency goals. Also, participate in any program decisions based on professional standards. Effective professional management in the program will bring a quality and positive experience to families and children. As a future educator, I will make sure that I enrich my knowledge in the field. For that, I will seek for resources that can help me improve my practice. I would also do any training or testing required for my improvement as a professional. As well as any credentials or program accreditations required. I will evaluate my performance and set goals for advancement. Another goal is to serve as an advocate to families and communities. Working in collaboration with communities and families will meet any children needs. Community agencies can assist families with any referral or early interventions requires. I will make sure to know what services the community offers in order for me to provide the information to children’s families. I will making sure of keeping confidentiality at all the time.

Introduction: Many assessment tools and interviewing skills are available to the clinical social worker within a mental health setting. This paper will examine one such assessment tool, the competency-based assessment, and its applicability in a mental health setting. A comparison will be made between this advanced assessment method and a generalist social work assessment. Interviewing people who have mental health concerns can offer challenges for clinical social workers. Several interviewing techniques that can help with some of these challenges will be outlined.

The major areas of my values and ethics can be summarized in six words: excellence, personal integrity, responsibility, ambition, accountability, and determination. Excellence guides me when setting targets in all my undertakings; I normally strive to achieve my best. Personal integrity and accountability enable me to make sound judgments to avoid engaging in actions that will hurt me and/or other people around me. Responsibility is important to me as it enables me to identify the part I need to play in my family, at the workplace, and in the community. Lastly, ambition and determination are applicable in providing me with the momentum needed to ensure that all my initiatives and tasks are done to completion.
These are the skills and competencies I have learned through my studies at Walden University. Kaslow, Grus, Campbell, & Fouad, et al. (2009) stated professionalism comes from my respect for those who need help. Integrity can be built with confidence in the therapist. Attitudes are charitable, polite, caring emotions toward others that fuel my motivation toward helping. This concern welfare of others comes from my religious and personal experiences as a child and young adult.
Every individual has certain values and ethics that he/she stands by. Values give us a sense of what is important while ethics gives us a sense of what is right and wrong. Together, these qualities help guide us through our everyday life: what actions to take and what decision to make. Sticking to ethical standards allows you to stay clear of trouble; therefore, strengthening people’s trust in you. In conclusion, in the creation of an ethical workplace, I would begin by adopting the principles of an ethical leader and practicing them so as to inculcate the ethical principles to all involved. Creating a work place where the values of respect, service, justice, honesty and community are emphasized would be my goal for all. A leader works and at the same time creates other leaders in the process, and I would endeavor to raise and maintain an ethical culture for employees who work for the good of their own personal wellbeing, each other’s welfare and in turn, the overall good of the organization .
Professionalism in the workplace in many professions can be simplified into general categories such as neat appearance, interaction with clients, punctuality, general subject knowledge, and likability. In nursing, professionalism encompasses a much more broad and inclusive set of criteria than any other profession. Nurses specifically are held to a higher standard in nearly every part of their job. Nurses are not only expected to uphold what it seen as professional in the aforementioned categories, but they are also expected to promote health, wellbeing, and advocate for patients, but also continually provide the highest standard of care, demonstrate exemplary subject and procedural knowledge, and abide by the Code of ethics set forth by the American Nurses Association. This Code of Ethics includes the complex moral and ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, fidelity, honesty, and integrity.

Professional competence can mean various things to different people. Competency in any career or profession has many basic requirements that are learned in a classroom environment as well as many essential elements that must be learned through formal, on-the-job training in order to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to function adequately as a professional in a workplace setting. When we are born, we do not have any values, morals, or ethical systems in place, as these are learned and developed over time.
