Comparison of Today
Today there are many ways we interact in the same ways as the

romans did. Many of our Government/Economics are similar.

Many people wanted and needed things in their life and they

would use currency to buy it.

Thesis

By looking at Roman Gaul History, one can see that they took over many city-states, which is

important because they had rule over most of the roman empire with a giant group of rulers.

What part of the roman empire did they control

Cisalpine Gaul or Gallia Cisalpina, was a region situated in the most northern part of the

Italian peninsula. This area covered the Apennines in the west to the Alps in the north, and

contained the plains of the Po River. Most …show more content…

Guerilla-style warfare was also used to defeat Caesar.

Postumus & The Gallic Empire

The 3rd century CE was chaotic; the Alemanni attacked Gaul and Italy while the Franks

moved into Spain, completely destroying Tarraco in the process. The Pax Romana ? ?Roman

Peace? - was gone. Emperor after emperor rose to power only to fall victim to his own troops.

Fall of the Roman Empire
The next few years proved to be no better for Gaul. It would take over two years to restore

order. Two decades later the area would fall under Constantine. With his death in 337 CE, his

eldest son Constantine II gained control of Gaul, Britain, and Spain. Upon his death at

Aquileia, his brother Constans took sole leadership only to fall to a palace conspiracy and

yield the throne to his brother Constantius II in 353 CE. Eventually, Contantius II split his

power with his cousin Julian the Apostate. In 406 CE, Vandals were among many 'barbaric'

tribes to attack Gaul. Visigoths were next, and then there was Attila the Hun. By 476 CE,

Gaul had already been conquered by the Franks, Burgundians, and …show more content…

The government serves to the city-state and the people that live in it. I think that Julius

Caesar was the longest living king there was in the Roman Empire and was the last king of

the roman empire. The government is totally different there are new laws and advanced

presidents.

Explaining how I met Civics/Government standards
I discussed all their control, raids, and E.T.C but there are many more events that happened.

Economics/Money/Decisions A need is something that somebody is in need for for example food is something

people would need. A want is something that someone doesn?t need but really wants. If

someone in the Roman Era wants to buy something expensive they will need to pay

with coins because they didn?t have paper money. Later on when they did have money

it wasn?t very much. Roman money systems have from a simple bartering method

using sheep. From using sheep, then metal bars, to using a sophisticated coinage

system, over hundreds of years.

Explanation of how I met the Economics/Money/Decision
Standards

I talked about their money system and how they started off with their money bartering and

what they bartered and what wants and needs
