There are two accounts of creation accounts in the Bible. The two creation accounts can be found in the first book in the Bible, Genesis. The book reveals two distinctively difference creation accounts. The first creation account is found in Genesis 1:1-2:3.The second creation account runs through Genesis 2:4 to the end of the third chapter. The two accounts of creation accounts include; a Cosmo-centric account of how God created the heavens and earth out of the void. The anthropocentric account of how humanity came to populate the earth.
It is believed that the second creation account is older than the first creation account. It is believed that the first creation account dated as early as 950 BCE. The first production is thought to have been

The Dominion gives the animals the mandate to instill rules and guidelines to be followed by other animals. These lenders all the animals as subject to human beings. Each creature has its purpose. The role of human beings is to ensure that each animal performs its intended purpose as God had mandated. They should also ensure that the security of each animal is highly maintained and that no animal should be harmed. All the animals should be treated equally and therefore not jeopardizing with the welfare of other animals. The implication of these phenomena is that human beings have neglected the welfare of the animals. Different statistics can authoritatively state that some welfare of animals is at stake. There have been increased cases of poaching worldwide for the precious animal products. Poaching is increasing at an alarming rate in Africa and the Asian countries. This is because of the precious ivory tasks, which are sold in Asian countries to processed to finished products such as ornaments and other precious jewelry. (Kwando, 2014).The other animal that is declared an endangered species is that rhino. The price of the ivory in rhino is beyond that of heroin and cocaine. Such inflated prices have led to a hunting spree of the already endangered animal. This is witnessed in countries with weak systems of laws restricting …show more content…
(THE HOLY BIBLE, 2016).This places people as the creature with overall supremacy and authority over other creations. Human beings have the role to bring the world under control. Nature is supposed to be controlled by people. Although to some extent human beings have been able to control the creation, there are incidences where human beings have been unable to control other creation. There has been an increased human-animal conflict in recent times. Wild animals are becoming difficult to control. Animals feel insulted by human beings by inhibiting their territory. Increased human population has caused this and therefore the land is becoming a necessity for agricultural production. Some land is being cleared to construct structures for human residence. Conflicts between humans and animals are a serious problem in many parts of the world. The damage and destruction caused by a variety of animals to human property and sometimes to human life is a real and significant danger to many human communities. In addition, with the animals often killed, captured, or otherwise harmed in retaliation, these conflicts are one of the main threats to the continued survival of many species (Kurien, 2010). Human beings were given the authority to rule over that fish, the fowls of the air and all creatures that move upon the
...creation stories occurred before the Sacrifice of Cain and Abel, and this would follow the same standard as the stories of the New Testament below.
The Biblical account in Genesis, probably written by Moses around 1500 B.C., and the story of creation and flood in Ovid's Metamorphosis, written somewhere between 8 and 17 A.D., have weathered the criticism and become the most famous. The Genesis account, however, may be the most prominent of the two accounts. Within these accounts, are many similarities, as well as differences, which make these two writings well respected, while holding their own in the literary world. Though both accounts of the creation and flood are well respected on their own, when compared side to side, they are drastically different.
“In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). This section of a verse from the NRSV started the grand story of the bible. In the beginning the Bible brings two things to focus. The two things that are focused on is the setting and the main characters of the Bible (Professor Smallbones). The Bible opens in Genesis 1 with God creating. God creates light, the earth, the sun, living creatures, and many other things, but most importantly God creates humans. As God is the main character in the grand story he immediately forms a personal relationship with man and woman. God created Adam the first man and Eve the first woman. In the book, The Unfolding Drama of The Bible, Anderson says, “The
Though the two Creation stories are supposedly intended to be connected - even interchangeable - the only similarity they share is the presence of the omnipotent God and His role in the creation of the earth. Where the first creation describes a detailed, six-day process in which God first delineates day and night, establishes the physical world, and then finally creates man, the second creation is a much simpler process, one almost contradictory to the first story's strict schedule.
We, as humans, mistreat the animal population. On a smaller scale, the human population wastes domestic and wild, animals for medical testing, for their fur, and for entertainment such as dog fighting. These things may not seem to be globally threatening, yet the constant waste of certain species of animals and the destruction of an animal's natural habitat will lead to the endangerment and eventually the extinction of the species. Furthermore, many people are unaware that the world is currently in the midst of the largest mass extinction in history.
This varies from an ash and elm tree to pea-pod plants. In the Chinese creation myth, Nuwa went to the Yellow River and formed humans from clay after Ran-gu the dragon dies. Nuwa than realized how long it would take to make enough humans to inhabit over the very vast Earth so, she began flinging mud across the land. Mankind in the Inuit creation myth arose from a pea-pod plant placed by Raven. The offspring of the pea plant was believed to be the first creatures that the Earth possessed. The Norse believed the human race was initiated when Odin lifted an ash and elm tree which produced the human race. This tree was made from the cruel god Ymir’s hair after he was brutally killed. The concept of people being made from organic material is most likely the cause of early being’s dependence on nature. Many people during the time period of this belief used organic material to create shelter which was a long and difficult process. These ancient people believed that the process of creating mankind was lengthy, as the house, therefore, they must have been derived from the same product used to create their
... animals in technologically intensive economies and threats to the very surgical of wild animals species” (Fellenz 74-77). Even after all this, the number of animals used in agriculture and research grows by the billions every year, in the United States. “Many animals have financial value to humans. Livestock farmers, ranchers, pharmaceutical companies, zookeepers, circus trainers, and breeders are among the many people who have a financial interest in the animal trade. If humans were to stop using animals, these people would be out of work. Many others would be deprived of their favorite sport and leisure activities” (Evans). Thanks to the many efforts done, by the many people in England and the United States, many other counties began creating animals rights as well, like Asia and South America. Still to this day, do animals rights organizations flourish worldwide.
All in all, every culture and religion has their personal beliefs on human civilization and how the earth was produced. The most frequent belief modern day of the first humans, is the story of Adam and Eve. There is a plethora of theories, but none that are one hundred percent accurate. If you ask me, scientist will never know how earth came about and they will never identify who the first humans were. Every “story of creation” is a myth.
Intro An account of creation is found in the book of Genesis. Chapters one through eleven tell of how and when God created the Earth, the Heavens, all forms of life, and everything else in the Universe. Genesis also tells the stories of Adam and Eve as well as all of their descendants. Genesis is part of the living Word of God, providing details of the character of God, the principles of man, and man’s relation to God.
The ancient reading, “The Epic of Creation/Enuma Elish” and the beginning of the Holy Bible Old Testament, Genesis are two distinct passages that share many different qualities. Ranging from how the universe was ever created, to the origin of power and rule over others, both stories reveal persistence, strength, and honor. Genesis 1:1-2:4, Genesis 2:4-3:34 from the Holy Bible, and “The Epic of Creation”, have similar beginnings that determine the endings of both stories.
For all intents and purposes, there are two views of the beginning of the universe. One of these is the creation told in chapters one and two of Genesis. Genesis confirms that God created the Heavens and the Earth on the first day of the first week of Earth’s history.
Genesis is the first creation story. God creates, establishes, and puts everything into motion. After putting all of this in motion he then rests. He creates everything on earth in just seven days. Before creation Gods breath was hovering over a formless void. God made earth and all of the living creatures on earth out of nothing. There was not any pre-existent matter out of which the world was produced. Reading Genesis 1 discusses where living creatures came from and how the earth was formed. It’s fascinating to know how the world began and who created it all. In Genesis 1 God is the mighty Lord and has such strong power that he can create and banish whatever he would like. His powers are unlike any others. The beginning was created from one man only, God.
Truth about creation is found only in the Bible (Ryrie 206). The first verse of the Bible Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth, is an absolute statement.
Ever wonder how were were all created? Whether it’s a scientific reason or just a belief it seems that everyone all around the world has a different opinion when it comes to our creation story. The creation myth of Genesis and the creation myth of Egypt are both similar in many ways, but different as well. The creation myth in Genesis starts out with God who’s hovering over an empty, watery void, and creates the world by speaking into the darkness and calling into it and that makes it become light, sky, land, vegetation, and living creatures over the course of six days.
