Each of us has that one individual, be it a coach, mentor, or even a celebrity, who possesses a unique ability to inspire and bring out the best in us. But what sets these individuals apart? It's their leadership, too. This is shown in the contrasting leadership styles of Lady Macbeth and Jennifer Coolidge. Lady Macbeth's leadership is persuasive in achieving her goals, while Jennifer Coolidge's leadership is rooted in her ability to inspire others to embrace their true selves. But everything hasn’t been easy for Coolidge. Having a career in Hollywood over 35 is highly challenging as fewer and fewer films employ older women and give decent pay. Everyone can see that “It takes a lot of fight and determination to keep going in an industry that shows little interest in having you there”(Alexander). Coolidge sets herself even higher as a leader by inspiring other women that they can persevere and make it through despite the troubles and problems that will come their way. Coolidge is a beautiful example of how she breaks the norms and proves that you can do whatever you want, regardless of age. Lady Macbeth demonstrates her strategic leadership in Shakespeare's play by recognizing that to become queen, she must convince her husband of what is necessary to take over the throne.
