Depending on where you live there are stark differences between driving in the summer vs. the winter. First there is the factor of snow and ice in the winter, and in the summer you get harsh rains. There are many variables that we could discuss in these next few paragraphs, but we are only going to be able to list a few.
First we will discuss summer driving. Driving in the summer is really just driving, nothing more, and nothing less. Cars do really well in warm conditions, they start good and the roads are warm for great traction. Although there are a few setbacks such as, fluids run out quicker like coolant and oil, which are working double time to keep the engine running smoothly and the right temperature.
Driving in the winter can
be very different depending on where you live, so we are going to look at driving in northern areas. Driving in the winter in northern areas is made dangerous by inexperienced drivers who do not know how to handle their vehicle in icy or slick conditions. There are people who prefer not to drive in the winter because of the cost of changing tires and also the increased risk of a driving related incident. In the winter the engine is kept cool because the heater is almost always on, and the air temp is also cooler. In both seasons there are stark differences, yet they are also similar in the way that really the most dangerous thing in roads is other inexperienced drivers. To be safe in either condition is up to the owner on the vehicle in which needs to take proper care and use proper matenance techniques. In short, driving safely in both seasons is up to the driver to keep their vehicle in good working condition.
Hi, I am here to talk you about the pros and cons of driving in the summer and winter. The reason I say that is because I have been hearing different opinions about driving in the winter is better than driving in the summer, and of course, driving in the summer is better than driving in the winter. Although, it depends on what you are driving in and how you drive when driving. I say that because you could drive in the winter and still be cold because you did not turn on your heat. On the other hand, you could drive in the summer and still be hot if you do not let down any windows and or turn on the ac.
Life is full of errors, some that can be fixed while others cannot. Those errors that are not able to be handled and fixed turn out to become mistakes. Due to us being humans, mistakes will always be made throughout our lifetimes making it easy to overcome most of them. One the downfall, we will end up regretting some mistakes wishing we could go back after we’ve made that decision that lead to the mistake. When realizing these regrets, different manners of approaching them exist while it also varying from person to person.
To start of we all know that driving in Winter all drivers experience low visibility which causes all drivers to take it slower than usual. Before thinking about driving in Winter, you need to make sure you know how to handle snowy and icy roads before getting behind the wheel. All it takes is the smallest patch of ice or snow to cause you to skid of the road, which could cause life threatning injuries
Most kids are influenced by what their parents do and how they treat them. In “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury, the kids’ parents want them to be safe and have a good childhood. In “All Summer In a Day” by Ray Bradbury, the kids want to see the sun very desperately and they would do anything to see it because they have been waiting for a very long time. In both books they use dialogue to show and how the characters acted because they wanted something very badly. It also shows that desperately wanting something can change your life and other people’s lives for the worse or the better.
Fall and winter both start to change temperatures and it begins to get a lot colder. Fall is better than winter and spring because in the winter you get runny noses and in the spring the pollen would stop up your nose. Fall is better than any other season because you can go squirrel hunting and deer hunting. Fall is the best season because of Thanksgiving too. Family’s get to get together and eat turkey and dressing. There are football games outside and the temperature is just right so your hands will not fall off.
In Chicago winter is usually the most dreaded time of the year. It rains, snows, and is just freezing. In january 1985 it was -27℉. In order to go outside in the months of December, January, and February you have to wear a hat, gloves,a scarf and multiple layers of clothes in order to stay warm. Almost every morning you would have to wipe off the snow, frost, and ice off your car. The are also lots of danger because like black ice. Ice is not visible on most roads, this can cause cars to slip. In the winter it get a lot darker a lot earlier. At 4:30 it's close to complete darkness. Winter in some parts of the world is 70℉ but not in Chicago.
An interesting new learning topic, based on science, would be learning about snow and what it truly is. Especially in a place like Colorado, snow is not unheard of and many people do not know what it truly is even if they are accustomed to it. Snow is common, people step on it and don’t react to it much if it is falling from the sky either, but why aren’t people alarmed that white flakes are falling from the sky? Snow is a mystery to many but it is just another element that doesn’t seem to have an impact on the human body other than being cold, so what is snow, how is it formed, and what is the difference between rain and snow?
During the summer season, the temperatures are usually in the high 80s and in the evenings the temperatures are usually in the 70s. During the winter season, the temperatures are usually in the low to mid 80s and in the evenings the temperatures can dip under the mid 60s.
Everyone loves to be in the sun. It is one of the many advantages of Earth. The sun releases a positive vibe to everyone. Without the sun, people experience the dark and gloomy in the world. Songs and stories such as “Sun Comes Up” by Rudimental, and “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury both convey to the reader that the sun has a heavy effect to the characters.
There are four different types of seasons. They are Summer, Spring, Fall, and Winter. They each hold its own period in which they occur. Some days are long and some days are short depending on the season. Different weather, daylight hours, holidays, and different events are all events in which occur throughout the season. The events that can occur also depends on what’s the season. In each season, there are different activities that can be accomplished. For example, some seasons contain certain holidays that occur in them like Christmas, which only happens in the winter. There are a numerous amount of great activities to do during each season, but one specific season tops all of them. Out of all of the seasons, winter is the best season.
The body seems to be slower. Motivation to do anything takes a hit. In fact, in a survey taken in Maryland, over 90% of the people surveyed reported that they noticed a change in mood, behavior, and energy levels with the change of seasons.... ... middle of paper ...
There are many things that happen inside and outside of the car that can distract teenage drivers. Some of these include drowsiness, what time they are driving at, driving under the influence, and passengers in the car. Drowsy driving causes 21% of fatal automobile accidents (“Statistics”). It especially occurs in teenagers because of their lack of sufficient sleeping hours due to school, homework, work, and extracurricular activities. The time teenagers are driving at can be unsafe conditions too. Fatal crashes involving 16 year olds at night is almost twice as likely than in the daytime (“Statistics”). Summer months, June and July, had the highest number of teen car crashes (“Teen Driving”). In 2012, 53% of teenage deaths from car accidents occurred on weekend nights (“Teen Driving”). So, driving at night, during the summer, or on the weekend can clearly be less safe than driving in the day, during other months, and during the week. This does make sense because teenagers aren’t driving during school hours and they aren’t usually in school during any of these considerably dangerous times. Driving while under the influence is another cause of
The biggest difference between summer and winter is the climate. One of the main attractions of summer is the warm weather. I like being outside on a bright sunny day, and letting the sun warm my body. I also like that we get an occasional thunder storm. The excitement fills the air when I see the thunder clouds rolling in. The sound of thunder, and the lighting shows that come from the storms are fascinating. On the other hand winter i...
Do you know that different genre movies may focus on different elements which made them unique and appealing? They can be segmented into action, comedy, historical and so on. In this essay, I am going to compare two different movies with share the same movie genre, which both of them are horror movies. The first movie I have selected to compare is “I know what you did Last Summer” directed by Jim Gillespie. The movie “Orphan” which is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra is my another option for doing this compare and contrast essay.
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it’s the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you’re free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together.
