To be a director you need to have highly developed communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively with all members of the production team including actors and members of the public. When writing a script or editing a script the director should think about four steps for every line written. These step include.
1. Feeling- How will this make the audience feel, try to get the audiences emotions alert.
2. Thought- What will the audience interpret from this line and how will it create the storyline.
3. Action- What action is happening during this line, what actions could happen and how would this enhance the performance.
4. Words- Is this how this character would speak or is the line to difficult to say, does it make sense and how will this line increase the depth in the performance.
