Before some of the smartest property attorneys at the Marcus Evans November 2006 Conference in Washington D.C, Dan Bogue had to do the single most important thing anyone can think of when it comes to being an Entrepreneur, which is get investments in order to build a company. However, when the company launched in January 2000 they had a specific opportunity in a market which lacked the function that they wanted to make part of the process. The only problem for Bogue was that he did not realize how big the market could get and how many different things that function could be used for. That function was to allow people to watch or listen to what they want when they want. Something you can find in todays technology. That idea is utilized in so many different faucets of our everyday life. However, in 2014 seeing how technology evolved, no one can necessarily say that Bogue handled it incorrectly. No matter what way you look at it Command audio was going to be sold because of the market. Command Audio itself is really a company that so many companies use. Therefore, even without putting their own specific product on the market the company could have succeeded. The reason is because the intellectual property patented by Command Audio is much more profitable than any $200 receiver that they tried to sell in the first business plan. After the growing patent portfolio in the second business plan, Command Audio was the technology leader in broadcast on demand
