I had recently taken the F-M 100 Hue color test vision test. I have never heard of this test before, so I was unsure what type of test it was. My test score was 60, I don’t believe I have a color vision deficiency but I didn’t find this test easy. In fact it was bothering my eyes at times. My CVD type is undefined, and my CVD severity is none or slight. I was not surprised by this test, but I also don’t know what I was really expecting. I have had vision tests before, but I don’t think I took any color vision tests. I never felt I had a problem recognizing colors. My favorite color is lime green. I think green is my favorite color because when I was a child I watched wrestling, and my favorite wrestler wore green. Color deficiencies occur
The Color-Blind Principle is written by Bernard Boxill discusses how color-blind and color-conscious are two very different things. This work also discusses the problems of discrimination based on something you are not responsible for such as being born black or white. Boxill uses the example of a university denying the rights of students’ admissions because their hair is parted to the right, then later states, “Suppose again for example, that a person is denied admission to law school because he parts his hair on the right side. Though he, far more easily than the black person can avoid being unfairly discriminated against, he does not thereby more easily avoid being the object, indeed, in a deeper sense, the victim, of unfair discrimination.” (463) I disagree with Boxill’s affirmative action idea because the idea of affirmative action is passing the discrimination from one race to the other.

When showed a colour spectrum besides blue and purple Dalton was only able to recognise one other colour, yellow. One atom may not have color but once many atoms come together and are stacked and ordered in the correct way they can start to show color. Color, therefore, is a property of relatively complex objects. Emergent colors do not play a role in color science especially if an individual atom does not have color. They satisfy the prejudice in favor of color realism. The biggest critics of color skepticism are the common people. They are a bit outraged to see some denying something that seems so basic. They figure if they see colors they must be there. Therefore, to most defending color skepticism is impossible because people are so convinced that color exists even before the color skeptic’s argument is presented. The spotty world argument helps to defend color skepticism. If one went through life seeing spots everywhere they would think that spots truly did exist in the universe. However, if this person went to an eye doctor and found that impurities existed in their eyes that make the world look spotty, this person would agree that their eyes deceived
Does a Colorblind Society Create a Better America? There are any opposing views on this very topic. You have those that believe that society should just throw away the whole idea of race and then you have those that think that race is important in the economy of society. But then you have those like myself and Eduardo Bonilla-Silva who believe that a color blind society is just a waste of time and would be more harmful and ineffective. A colorblind society in the end would be more harmful than helpful because America would not be able to adapt to those ideals, it would lead to “colorblind racism”, and America would find more ways to segregate and discriminate against minorities.
My eldest sister was a professional cheerleader. My second eldest sister rode horses and speaks fluent Spanish. My third sister played three instruments, crocheted, drew, and cooked. Even my younger brother was in the choir and played cello. I was in the middle. I felt like I had no skills. I can’t cheer, nor can I ride horses or speak another language fluently. My cooking is sub-par, and my skills as a violinist were… underdeveloped. I would always be seated in the back row of the second violins, the lowest of the low. All theses reasons contributed to why I didn’t join the color guard for three years, even after being constantly pressured and supported by the instructor. I would tell them that my knee hurt too much, or that it was too much money, however, the reality was I was too self conscious, too scared of failure to even try.
Colorblindness affects more people than you might think, around 1 in every 12 males have color blindness (CBA). Although it is more common for boys to have color blindness girls can also get it, about 1 in 200 girls will have colorblindness (CBA). Look around you; chances are someone you know has colorblindness. There is nothing these people can do about it; it is a genetic disease.
Since being a member of the color guard team for the last year, I’ve wanted to continue to help the team by making sure that we are working our hardest and loving the sport. I believe that loving the sport comes first. If you don’t love color guard the rewards won’t come. Hard work and dedication is what makes a team go from good to great. As a team, we need to strive to be great. This year we have come so far and I want to help us to continue to work hard and fly high.

Deuteranomaly is a type that is considered green weak. Dichromasy is another type, which can be divided into Protanopia and Deuteranopia. People with this see no difference between red, orange, yellow, and green. Protanopia has much reduced color vision of the colors red, orange, and yellow. Deuteranopia is the same thing as Protanopia except without the abnormal dimming which makes it different. Last would be Tritanopia and Tritanomoly. Both of these types of color blindness are blue-green –color blindness with not many differences between them. In Tritanopia the s-cones are completely missing from the eye, and in Tritanomoly the s- cones have some kind of mutation.
