A college education has become a necessity in todays world. So the state college should be made free for everyone in the united states. In todays world at least college degree is necessary for every student to live a standard life. Without college degree a person should have to work n the minimum wages rate and that’s insufficient or them to live a life well. To attend college is not in everyone's luck. This is going to be high budget and if you drop in the middle, you should be paying the loan amount almost more then half of your life, which will be burden for the person and its family. Taking about the right now thing, college is not an option, it’s the necessity for the growing student. Going to a college and getting a degree also does not necessarily mean that an individual is going to get a job …show more content…
With a job it will be going to be a disaster. Working is now a fundamental responsibility for all undergraduates to stay in the budget. College works and job is so difficult for someone to focus on their things.many student must have to work in order to pay the cost of attending college like I do. In this situation, if the free college is offered, student can focus on study rather then the job. Because the job is what pays for the college tuition. Doing free college helps students less stress and doing good on class which leads getting better grades. Student will have enough time to take a look at content and the course. The major reason to go to college is to get a good job and live life happy. But being college debt will be so high and it will lead a life to full of stress. College is like a stairs in the life, have to pass each stairs in order to successful in life. College is completely different from high school in so many ways. In this stage students are responsible for paying their bills on time, time has to be managed and deadline has to be met, which is called a real
Along with less funding for the lower levels of education, comes a weaker education. So college might be free, but if you can’t even get into college (due to standardized test scores, GPA, etc.), then what is the point of having tuition-less college? As you can see, there are more drawbacks than benefits to free college tuition once you look past the surface of it. Like I said before, at a glance, it seems perfect, flawless. However, take a deeper look and see all of the things that would need to change in order to sustain nationwide tuition-free higher education.
First and foremost, Trade Schools, Colleges and Universities states, “After all, more and more of today's jobs are knowledge-based or require advanced technical skills. So a better-educated workforce would help fill many of the skills gaps that prevent America's economy from growing faster.” If more people attended college then there would be more jobs to fill in America’s economy. There have been droughts in America’s economy, but with free college tuition, droughts would decrease. It would not be fair that someone who could be successful at the job would not be granted the ability to get the job because they don’t have a piece of paper with a signature on it compared to someone who does average or mediocre at the job and had the opportunity to go to college. Making college free also comes with consequences. So graduation numbers might drop, or the people who do graduate might not be as well prepared for the workforce. Also, with more people choosing to attend public colleges because of their tuition-free status, many schools might have to create wait lists or expand the ones they already have. State budgets could become strained, which might lead to cuts and decreased access to the programs that students want to take. Here is the weakness, although it benefits many students, the nation's existing
First, free college can encourage students to go to college to get a degree which leads to a high paying career. It can fulfill those students that are having a hard time financially, and fewer students will be in debt. Second, with free college, colleges will be more likely to help students that need the guidance to stay on track and get a diploma. Clayton and Bailey mention, "If we want to significantly improve educational outcomes, we need to make college more affordable so more students can enroll, and make the reforms needed to en-sure community college students can succeed in their courses, complete their program, and grad-uate within reasonable amount of time" (Clayton and Bailey). Finally, free college can help the U.S. catch up to the rest of the countries with higher education. For example, it can help the United States surpass Russia, where more than half of adults have a diploma. Frohlich explains, “More Than 53% of Russian adults between the ages of 25 and 64 had some form of higher edu-cation in 2012, more than in any other country reviewed by OECD” (Frohlich). Although free college is an attractive idea, it will leave the United States in a bigger debt which will be hard to recover from and more students will be unmotivated to
However, a college education is one of the most valuable things a student could have, so why should it be free? Paying for a college education is like investing in the future. One cannot make earnings in the stock market without first contributing some of their own money. Therefore, students should not be entitled to the benefits of a college education without paying the price. Paying for college also teaches students a valuable lesson. Students learn how to manage and budget their money which will set them up for success in the future when they have to finance a car, house, bills,
Honestly college at this certain point in time does not seem worth it. Everywhere else in the world college is free but the United States. People would feel more motivated to go to college if it was free. College is the main reason Americans are having to live such a hard lifestyle. My father did not go to college and makes eighteen dollars an hour. On the other hand my aunt did go to college and make twenty-four dollars an hour but is still paying back student loans so after paying all of her stuff back she only makes around fifteen dollars an hour that she gets to bring back and that doesn’t include taxes. That’s the reason college doesn’t seem like a good choice to make in life.
As people attend college, fees build up and students loan money and possibly be in debt. Not only that, some may say college isn’t worth it, but it is. Getting a degree pays off at the end, going towards your career path, making twice as much as you would work at a regular job. Students who have received a degree are slowly declining. To make adjustments, college should be free for everyone.
Free higher education will help education live up to the reputation of leveling the playing field and providing opportunity to move up in society. It is something that will reward hard working kids with no debt and set them up for the future. It will allow students to focus on their school work and will eliminate the need to have to work to pay for school. This will help their success rate and help people graduate on schedule. Free education will also stop the student loan crisis that has now surpassed credit card debt. Free education is something that is very important for our people individually and as a whole. Our country will end up as a smarter, more powerful society. It is up to us as a country to take responsibility and look out for our country. We need to keep up with the country’s that are passing us in education and build a brighter
It can open the door for a bright future. Student debt in America has been growing and has impacted the lives of many who cannot afford to pay back their loans. This has affected their chances for a good credit score where buying a house or a car would be difficult. Having a free education can setup a better future than others who have to take out student loan. In an interview with CNBC, Mark Emmert, the president of the NCAA said, "We want to make sure they get degrees, and that they really have the education that sets them up for life(NCAAPrez).
While the idea of free college is often seen as beneficial only to the wealthy, college should be free for everyone because going to college could once again be seen as a choice instead of a financial problem for many households, people could also better understand others that come from different backgrounds, and there are more
A pro of a paid for college education is that since all of the students pick their own majors, all of these majors come with specific professors who specialize in his area. In high school there are often a lot of bitter teachers who just need the money, they do not actually like what they do which can be disheartening to a student trying to get somewhere in life. In college, it is refreshing to be taught by people who specialize in the fields we want to study, and who choose to be their because they like their subject and they like to
The money help many graduate increase quality of education. Also, enjoy benefit increased income and better quality employment a higher education open opportunity for people. It given student the experience and confidence that will be able to use in many life situations. Free college it open up a network of peers that they can continue to work throughout life. The benefits that college graduate enjoy, improved quality more opine mind, more responsible more polite and more consistent and less despot these benefit are also passed along to succeed general. “Not only is higher education seen as a key to economic advancement, but also if all 18-24 year olds were in college, we would reduce the unemployment rate by 2 million people, and fewer people would be in need of governmental assistance. Moreover, a federal program to fund higher education would relieve states of having to fund these institutions, which would free up money for other
Clearly, the merits of having free higher education outweigh the drawbacks in immeasurable ways, benefiting the individual learners, states, and the nation at large. Having education in higher education free to all would ensure that every citizen get an equal opportunity in life regardless of their social status, it would allow people to concentrate on nation-building rather than loan payment after school, it would make the nation skill-sufficient and all citizens be more productive. Most importantly, education is a basic right that everyone deserves and money should not be a hindrance, thus, education should be free for all.
Regardless which country people live in, education in any high school is likely expected. Long time ago, college was mainly founded and attended by wealthy people; however, now people go to college for many benefits. From many studies, college educated students are more productive as members of society, and the government. In the United States, only about 75 percent of high school students graduate on schedule. This is a huge problem and may lead to even bigger problem, economic crisis.
College stresses a person to use his or her critical thinking skills and it’s key that he or she use it without the cost. Without a person’s critical thinking skills they could not get through every day. Critical thinking is an important tool for humans to master. College works on that skill so that when the students graduate from there, they can use those skills to make more educated and responsible decision. Not everyone would have the chance to work on their critical thinking skills if college has a price. As humans we want to advance in our lives knowing and experiencing all the possibilities that life has to offer. College is among those possibilities. Every human should be able to go to one, whether they are financially tight or not. To prohibit someone from going just isn’t fair nor is it right.
Yes, I strongly believe that college education should be free for everyone because Education is a basic necessity of our society these days. Free education wouldn’t just benefit one generation or one society but it can benefit the whole nation. If a nation is educated, then it can benefit the whole country and it can get better job opportunities for its citizens because in today’s world we can see highly paid jobs are knowledge based or require advanced technical skills. So in my opinion more educated nation would help remove all those flaws which are keeping country’s economy from growing rapidly. If the education is free in college then it can help a lot of those students who got good grades in their high schools but could not get into the college because of their financial situation. This way these kind of needy students who deserves to get a good degree and basically these students are future of America but they could not get it through
