Having the chance to be involved in health science and work with other students having the same interest to me is a great privilege for me, as a medical student. Health science gives me chances to explore my skills and enhance as a student through my personal life and my education being related to health care. In addition, health science gives me the opportunity to learn new things and give me the chance to practice and be more involved in what I love, medical. I am a well-rounded individual, involved in many different courses and classes. In my high school career, I have been involved in past medical classes, such as medical terminology during my freshman year, and also principals of health science which I am currently taking my sophomore year. My younger sister has a disability and is special needs while struggling to live an average lifestyle. I have learned more from her growing up together, that she has taught me to be patient and even how to correctly deal with certain situations and challenges that come with me. I have developed knowledge and understanding of individuals with certain disabilities or illnesses, from my long life experiences and my involvement with guiding and helping my younger sister in need. A few years ago my grandpa went through a traumatic time, going through long periods of time being hospitalized and countless hours of surgery. My grandpa to whom I am close to went through a major heart attack, which lead to scars and long hours of pain both being emotionally and physically. It has encouraged me to help people in need of care, as it made me feel sympathy and the knowledge of what it is like to go through challenges.
