All my life I’ve wanted to be a doctor. I’d walk around my house with my plastic stethoscope and doctor bag ‘taking care’ of my family. I’ve just always been drawn to it. I think that it also may have something to do with heredity. Both my mother and my grandmother have worked in the hospital; my mom in the mom and baby unit, and my grandmother as a floor nurse. However, that’s just a theory of mine. At the moment, I plan to go to college for four years or more to become a registered nurse. And hopefully, get my masters degree to become a midwife. As a registered nurse you have a very wide range of things you can do in, and also out of the hospital.
In order to reach my dreams of becoming a registered nurse I must go to college in a four year program so I can get my bachelor’s of science degree in nursing (BSN), and associate degree in nursing (ADN). While in high school I need to maintain a G.P.A of at least a 3.0. The reason for this is so I can be immediately accepted into a nursing school, or a nursing program. Like Miami University for example, if I maintain that 3.0 throughout high school I will be able to start nursing school immediately after I graduate instead of having to take a whole year of college and maintaining a grade higher than a B- before starting my nursing education.
In preparation to become a registered nurse I am currently taking Chemistry I CP and Algebra II CP. Also, I am in an excellent program that helps me prepare for some things that are associated with health careers. Some examples would be taking respirations, pulse, blood pressure, apical pulse, height and weight, and other such things. Also we learn about the many different systems of the body. The class is a total of 3 periods long...

...erinarian though. For example I may have to deal with pets that are nervous, anxious, scared, or in severe pain. As we all know, when an animal is any of these things they tend to act out, whether it is by using the restroom on your floor or trying to bite you. Also it would be extremely hard for me to have to euthanize the animals, although it probably would be for the better.
I believe that I am currently doing what is necessary for me to reach my goals in life in terms of the courses I am taking and the Health Careers program that I am currently in. Hopefully I will pursue my dream of helping people and treating them correctly when it comes to a medical emergency. If I can’t do this for some reason such as not graduating medical school, I plan to go to a Veterinarian school to become a veterinarian where I can still help humans as well as animals and pets.
The career path that I want to pursue is in the medical field. I major in psychology and minor in biology because going to medical school has always been my desire. Being a pediatrician is my goal I wish to conquer. I am beyond interested and passionate about this career. It is not just a career, it is my life dreams. I want to be able to enjoy going to work every day knowing I love my job and I am here because I want to. Being a pediatrician I am able to work with children and many people of different cultures. I am thrilled to know that I will be capable of caring for sick children.
Growing up, I was never really sure what career would fit best for me. I didn’t know which direction I was going to take and I always ended up pushing it aside because truly, it scared me. Coming into high school, I ended up with multiple injuries – I sprained my left ankle twice and my right ankle once; I also ended up spraining my elbow. This all happened through cheerleading and lacrosse. I was continually going to the hospital and started to realize what my passion was – being in the medical field. My passion for being in the medical field grew even more when my brother married his girlfriend, Yuko. She happened to be a nurse, as well as my other brother who worked as a physical therapist. Though I didn’t know what field I necessarily wanted to go into, and I still am a little conflicted, I knew my heart was in the medical field. One that I’ve specifically looked into recently has been emergency room nurses.
With many medical careers students often get confused on what they really want to study, I have faced this problem myself and I know is not that easy due too many choices. There are many options ranging from healthcare to medical jobs. I have thoughtfully chosen to enter the program for Medical Assistant (MA). Ever since I was a child, I’ve spent most of childhood years at the Hospital, I was diagnosed with a rare condition that had to be treated continuously, this meant that I had to be going to checkups every three months so I was close to doctors, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist, medical assistants, etc. I remember at first I was frightened just of the thought of going to the doctor but after a few visits I got used to. The doctors and nurses were nice and caring and made me feel comfortable that I end up enjoying my doctor’s visits every time. Since then I decided I wanted to work in the medical field, this is my goal since I can remember. I have always enjoyed helping people in any way I possibly can. I chose to be a Medical Assistant because I think is great way to start my medical career going and programs are practical and not long.
I have always wanted to be a scientist and contribute something to the human cause and what better way to achieve this than by doing medical research? Medical school taught me the art of medicine and the research projects that I undertook taught me the science of medicine. What interests me the most is a path that combines the two, and one way to make that possible is to be an academic physician. I have always wanted to work in a teaching hospital or academic institution, one that would give me the opportunity to take care of patients, give me the time and resources to carry out trials and present them and to be able to interact with trainees.
Ever since I was younger, I wanted to get into the medical field. Both my grandmothers used to work in the hospital and I would always wanted to tag along. Following them to work influenced my decision to work in a hospital. Every time I tag along, I would see many interesting things that would catch my attention and make me curious. There was a lot of materials such as the stethoscope, weighing machine, and etcetera that I would pretend to be a doctor or nurse examining imaginary people. It was absolutely perfect because I always wanted to help people. So this fall of 2014, I will be starting my education on becoming a nurse anesthetist.
The nursing field is always constantly growing, with people wanting to persue the career of bring new life into the world. To start this career people have to have a certain amount of education to learn about the job and how to do it. Starting early is always a great thing to keep in mind when thinking about the future. Author Kate Prudchenko says “Students in high school can prepare for these programs by taking core science courses like chemistry and biology, or they may be able to start their associate’s degree coursework while completing their high school diploma.” Taking chemistry may help the student learn how to balance equations and understand exactly how to handle chemicals in the laboratory and understand how they work. By taking biology in high school can help students get use to analyzing prenatal development and reproductive systems or may even introduce laboratory work. Labor and Delivery nurses dont just need a scientific background but also a background in humanities and social sciences to better prepare...
For the nursing field, it would be an excellent choice to begin taking medically-based classes in high school. For example, a patient care class would be a great introduction. Then, in college to be a nurse
There are different education paths you can take depending on whether you get a diploma from an approved nursing program, you’re getting an associate’s degree in nursing (AND), or a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN) (USBL). Only certain high schools, trade colleges, and professional schools offer a diploma certificate (DifferenceBetween). I do know that to get an associate’s degree it usually takes about two years and to get a bachelor’s of science degree, it takes about four years. There are many courses that have to be taken in the programs. Some of the ones I didn’t know were required is chemistry, nutrition, microbiology, and sciences in liberal arts (USBL). However, I do know you had to take physiology, psychology, anatomy, and behavioral sciences like sociology. These classes are required along with your clinical hours in the
Upon being accepted at the Georgia Military College, I determined that I would spend my two years retaining everything I could in order to successfully become a registered nurse. Not only does getting my associates degree in Science and Pre-Nursing get all of my prerequisites out of the way, it is preparing me for my further education afterwards. In high school, every career goal test and
I have always wanted to work in the medical field since I was a child. Around four, I told my pediatrician during a well- check visit that I wanted to grow up and be just like her. My love of infants and children strongly influenced my career choice because I want to have the ability to help sick children who do not have the ability to help themselves. I have considered many options to enter the healthcare field from nurse, to doctor, and finally came to the conclusion that what I truly wanted out of my future resided in a career as a Physician Assistant. Becoming a PA is not something that I have considered lightly.
I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a person that someone relied on and trusted. At first I wanted to be a teacher, because I loved interacting with other people. As I grew up, I realized that I loved the relationships that the nurses built with my grandparents when they had to stay at the hospital. That made me realize that nursing was not just about giving people their medications, bathing them, and checking on them every hour. It showed me that nursing can be an opportunity to form relationships, to challenge yourself to your full potential, and also to help make a difference in someone life. I grew up in a small town that just recently got their first hospital, so there was not much opportunity to volunteer in hospitals when I
In the future, I hope to pursue my career dream of becoming a pediatrician. Pediatricians can be identified individuals who specialize in giving medical care to children and adolescents between infancy to adulthood at eighteen years of age. I became inspired to become a pediatrician due to my immense love of children. Perhaps I have an innate intuition for taking care of people being that I have always felt that I excel at taking care of others. The idea of taking care of others truly makes me feel that I serve a purpose, not only to better the life of myself but the life of others. Therefore, I believe that becoming a pediatrician will help me combine the best of both worlds into a career that I adore and cherish.
From a young age, I was drawn to the healthcare field, not because the amount of money doctors, nurses and other health professionals made, but because of the dedication and contentment I saw on their faces helping someone in need. Growing up everyone wanted to become a doctor or a nurse and as a little child being a doctor or a nurse was a profession many parents wanted their child to pursue as a career. Needless to say, I fell into that category because I had high hopes that one day I will become a nurse. However, that dream came to a halt.
