After reading the segment of your exposition on the four spheres of political action in nursing one particular detail drew my attention and that was that an organization is not strictly delineated as a facility we are employed by but also as a group of interest. With that in mind, it would be imperative to recognize numerous committees established in the VA to improve and regulate nursing care. For example, I have been part of Veterans' Education group which is focused on maintaining updated information resources available to patients as well as organizing beneficial events to disseminate vital information necessary for prevention and maintenance of wellness. Furthermore, I cannot omit the most valuable to my profession the Certified Diabetes

"Most people simply don't view going to meetings as doing work," says William Daniels. "You have to make your meetings uptime rather than downtime."
We cannot stress enough how important it is to include everyone in these meetings. It is our recommendation that this organization do this monthly. By doing so the community and all involved have a chance to be heard. Each person can express concerns and offer their opinions, this will improve communications and build relationships and reduce tensions between the community and the bureau. Not to mention it gives the bureau deputies a chance to see the different cultures, religions and ethnicities, which in turn will help deputies learn ways of communicating and help build skills in dealing with the different beliefs. The more the deputies know the better they able to do their job while not offending
The "Setup Hr." is derived from dividing the setup (minutes per job, as illustrated in exhibit 6.9) by 60 minutes. Likewise, the hourly capacity of each operation (Rate Pc. Hr.) is solved by dividing 60 minutes by the run (minutes per part, as shown in exhibit 6.9).
...rs to deal with any problems that arise from the group. It is important for them to be alert to the risks of the group. To reduce any unnecessary risks, I will understand each member’s limits, respect their requests, be invitational and not dictatorial, describe their behavior and not be judgmental, and avoid harsh verbal confrontations. These risks will also be discussed during the initial session of the group. I will counteract psychological risks by using various techniques such as blocking, caring confrontation, questioning, and assessing. I have taken precautionary measures as well by contacting my mentors and consultants and alerting them about the risks of the group I am running. If there is an ethical or legal concern, it will be documented and taken to a clinical supervisor. In addition, I have liability protection and malpractice insurance in place.
They meet regularly and have consistent communication amongst its students and its leaders. These weekly meetings occur on Wednesdays, every week at 6. During this time, they call in different people from the community to communicate. Going to these meetings regularly helps to access the community on a deeper level. I joined this community during Skutt shutdown, which allowed me full access to the communities meeting times and all other additional information. The community meets in Eppley 210, their first meeting was held in in 212, yet this was a temporary set up and therefore I did not record any information regarding the set up and lay out of the community. After interviewing the executive team, I was able to understand their view from the front of the community, the interview consisted of a short 5 questions asking about lay out of space, use of technology and any observations they had about the communities use of the space. I chose this route of questions because I feel they gave the executive a chance to look at the group a little more analytically and describe their approach to creating the space they desire. I felt it important to ask about technology because of the feel of how technology can impact some groups interactions. During the latest meeting, they even used technology to allow us to call our senators about the new Obama Care Repeal Act going through the senate right

The participation in hospital committees was not part of my professional career until I have become a part of the workforce at the VA Hospital. Moreover, one must assert that involvement in active committee allows professional development and growth through learning new skills which help to recognize and understand the healthcare system possibly leading to obtaining a managerial position. Furthermore, membership of influencing board paves a road to establishing a professional and open relationship
