From Sea, Air, and Land, the U.S. Navy Seal Teams are the most feared and respected commando forces in the U.S military if not the world. The Seal Teams are the most elite and highly trained forces on the face of the earth. President John F. Kennedy formed the teams in 1962 as a seagoing counterpart to the U.S Army Special Forces.
The following was a submitted report for a U.S. History research paper assignment We fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea. First to fight for right and freedom, and to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title of United States Marine. Our flag's unfurled to every breeze from dawn to setting sun. We have fought in every clime and place, where we could take a gun. In the snow of far off northern lands and in sunny tropic scenes, You will find us always on the job, The United States Marines. Here's health to you and to our Corps which we are proud to serve. In many a strife we've fought for life and never lost our nerve. If the Army and the Navy ever look on heaven's scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines." The Marine hymn is eternally etched in the mind's and soul of every recruit and officer who have served in the United States Marine Corps. Every Marine has gone through boot camp, each sacrificing blood, sweat, and tears. One thing that has never deteriorated in their years of existence is the fact that they have yet to lose a war they have put effort in. Is this exceptional record due to their extensive training? Is it because of their aggressive nature and mindset? What is to follow may shed some light on these questions and perhaps give some type of insight on how the Marine Corps was so prevailing and what conflicts had they had conquered. 1775, November 10th. This date is memorized and celebrated by every United States Marine as something of excellence, a date of honor. This date is non other than the "birthdate" of the Marine Corps. It was on this date that the Continental Congress passed a resolution to create two operational battalions of American Marines. These men would ultimately be headed by Captain Samuel Nicholas, of the United States Naval department. It was in Philadelphia that the first Marines were grouped and trained for their inaugural mission. The three hundred Marines that had been recruited, were placed aboard eight transport ships, all destined for the beaches of New Providence (the Bahamas). Upon their landing on March 3rd, 1776, they fought up the beach, sweeping through a barrage of bullets, and took command of two small stone forts and a number of military storage complexes.
The years in Jrotc was good. Because I manage to be a better person. My freshman year was hard because I really didn’t know what to expect from this program. I was so confusing because I didn’t know much what Jrotc was but I got introduced into good friends. But my First Year instructor was SGM Cooper he help me a lot within my first year because he told me how to wear the uniform. And he taught how to help myself to build characteristic that I thought I never thought I had. But my freshman year was over all good cause I got more sense what JROTC had to really offer for me and I thought I had a future in the military. My sophomore year was better because I had more sense and I was a upper class I was finally let 2 so I had to teach the let
The United States Congress chartered the American Legion in 1919. Its purpose was to benefit veterans and their families, promote Americanism and serve the greater good of communities nationwide. First welcomed to membership were veterans returning home from the battlefields of Europe. But over the years, Congress amended the Legion’s charter so as to include those who had served in World War II, Korea and more recent conflicts.
Wars have many battles. However, battles do not always lead to war. Marines courageously serve in our nations wars. Their ability to win battles allows our nations to deal with threats quickly without making the situation more dangerous than it already is. Since the year of 1775 the Marines have been the number one branch of the military called upon first. Their ability to execute the most rapid, effective, and efficient military response to disputes anywhere in the world, makes them one of the most respected branches of the military. The Marines Corps are deployed to respond swiftly and aggressively to threats around the world. What distinguishes the Marines Corps from any other branch is the bond formed by their motto “Semper Fidelis.” It was a motto adopted in 1883. “Semper Fidelis” in Latin means “always faithful.” It reminds marines to always be faithful to their mission, to one another, and to the Corps and our beloved nation, no matter the cost. However, we will discuss the history and background of the career, the requirements to obtain the career, the job position and description, and the job reflection and outlook.

During the 1930’s, the availability of relief for the poor in the United States was very limited and based from community and local institutions. In 1933, the first food assistance programs were established under the Federal Surplus Relief Corporation (FSRC) with the main focus of purchasing surplus agricultural commodities and distribute them to the poor or those receiving cash relief under the Federal Emergency Relief Act (Citation). However, it was not until August 31, 1964 that the Food Stamp Act (P.L. 88-525) was enacted. The Food Stamp Act of 1964 established was the first coupon-based system allowing participants to buy a variety of food with coupons, rather than restricting them to only surplus commodities (Citation). Participants of the Food Stamp program purchased coupons for an amount based on income and household size, and would receive free “bonus” coupons.
I have learned how to accept supervision better. I am showing concern for others more than normal, and I have met great people who I can really consider as mentors for me later in life. These people have changed me and helped me see the brighter things in life. Coming to Job Corps is probably the best thing that I have ever done because I was not able to do anything back at home before I came here and now I am getting the education and training that I need to make my dreams come true. I would really like to stay here because I am learning a lot and I have nothing else or better to do to help myself back at

My experience is not related directly to memberships although AmeriCorps does recruit members but my position worked with commissions who worked with programs and recruitment and retention occurred at the program level. However, you can see how many of my points can relate to association membership recruitment and retention.
Additionally, I acquired skills that I know will be extremely helpful to me in college. All by myself I was able to learn, how to learn material on my own. Another reason why I am proud of this experience is because I was able to demonstrate to myself that I do have the capability to come up with possible solutions to obstacles that I was facing. I also learned that through perseverance and determination, I am able to still accomplish a part of my goals even in the toughest of
