Are you afraid of clowns? Cause this so called myth might just make you fear them even more. This essay will look at the creepy myth known as the Clown Statue.

So this is the basic story. A couple wanted to head out for the night, so they called in their babysitter that they’ve known for a while and who has watched their kids on many occasions. When she got their the kids were already in bed. She decided to watch tv but before she could do so, she called the mother. She asked if it would be ok to watch tv since the kids were already asleep. She also had one other request. She asked if she could cover up the creepy clown statue in the corner of the room. She was horrified by what the mother told her. She was told to get the kids out of the house, we don’t have a clown statue.

This myth isn’t exactly new. It’s been around for quite sometime and many people have read or at least heard of it. Many different versions of the myth began to surface around 2004. In some versions the clown turns out to be a midget. In other versions the clown is an escaped prisoner who had been hiding in the family’s house. The kids would complain about a clown who would watch them sleep at night, but the parents didn’t believe them. But the one that strike’s the most fears is right after the babysitter gets off the phone, she and the kids are brutally murdered by the clown. There’s also another end to the story and that is that the babysitter and the kids make it out of the house. But when she looks up into one of the window’s she is horrified to see the clown standing there looking at her. He then slowly backs into the darkness of the
