Climate and Weather:
Chances are if you are visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, it will be warm and sunny. Averaging over 350 days of sunshine, Cabo is known for warm weather and very little precipitation. Some things that affect the climate and weather of Cabo are:
• Latitude- Cabo is located at 22 degrees North latitude, so its warm year round temperatures are a result of its closeness to the equator.
• Proximity to Oceans- Cabo is located along the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, so it has moderate temperatures. This is why Cabo has milder winters that are ideal for vacationers.
• Ocean Currents- Another factor in helping moderate the climate in Cabo.
• Elevation- Cabo is only 20 m above sea level so the air is more dense and holds more heat, keeping the climate warm.
Vegetation:
• Cardón Cactus- known the world’s largest cactus. It has adapted to harsh weather conditions by having a large column looking form that gives the cactus more surface area in the morning and evening sunlight, and less in the brutal midday sun. Its arms branch out to get the most amount of solar radiation as possible. The cardón does not have any leaves because it performs photosynthesis through its skin, instead of leaves like most plants. They have epidermal cells in the skin of their stems, called chlorenchyma that do the work of photosynthesis.
• Bursera Microphylla- also known as the elephant tree. These are small trees or big shrubs that have large trunks that are used to store water. Bursera Microphylla normally have pinnate leaves that are shed when their habitats are experiencing a drought, but the plants have adapted to be able to photosynthesize through the stems of their trunk...

Environmental Issues:
• Cabo San Lucas, Mexico has an economy centered about tourism because of its desirable year round warm, tropical weather and little precipitation. People enjoy travelling to this part of Mexico because there is little risk with the weather there because you know what to expect during each part of the year. However, this tourism puts a strain on the environment of Cabo. Millions of people each year go to Cabo on vacation and go fishing, see El Arco, scuba dive, or participate in water sports and activities. All of these things require boats. The frequent boat usage in Cabo has polluted parts of the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean located near the city.
• Beaches and deserts of Cabo are used for tourism. Beaches are used for relaxation, water activities, etc and the desert is used for ATV and horseback riding tours.
The animals in Costa Rica live in a hot place so they can stay warm sense reptiles need to stay warm because reptiles and cold blooded. Most of the animals that living in Washington are warm blooded for the cold winters and falls so they don't die from lack of heat. But, those that are cold go underground into hibernation because of the heat and the lack of food. The animals of Costa Rica don't have to do that because it is always warm out. Most animals live close to some source of water because if some animal is not hydrated they become weak and get killed or die. The food for most animals are by the water or in the water so, the predators become the hunted by larger and more dangerous. Most of the animals in Washington don't all stay by the closest water source, some get their water from underground, others get the water they need from plants. Each and every animal is different in its own

Environment - current issues: sewage pollution of Lago de Valencia; oil and urban pollution of Lago de Maracaibo; deforestation; soil degradation; urban and industrial pollution, especially along the Caribbean coast; threat to the rainforest ecosystem from irresponsible mining operations
Ocean Pollution is a serious issue in today's global politics. The delicate balance of Earth's ecosystem is put in jeopardy when the ocean is not clean. Problem evolving from ocean pollution directly harm marine life and indirectly affect human health and the Earth's many valuable resources. Ocean Pollution is a Broad term that encpompasses any and all foregin matter that directly or indirectly makes its way into the ocean. This includes everything from the extreme: oil spills, Toxic Waste dumping and industrial dumping-- to the small scael: human activities and basic carelessness. Because the oceans and all other water bodies are invariably, somehow connected, and because they account for 3/4 of the Earth's surface, they are an ideal method of transportation for pollution, allowing the rapid spread of seemingly far away toxins into a river near you! It is increasingly important that we educate ourselves as to what, exactly, ocean pollution is, so that we can identify the causes at their source and take action in small and large ways, and hopefully, prevent this terrible form of pollution from getting any worse than it is today.
Water pollution has had devastating effects on the environment, which include irreversible effects on the oceans ecosystem. People often underestimate the importance of the ocean. They don’t realize how much damage pollution has caused to the ocean and the thousands of creatures that inhabit it. Earth is a huge place, but resources are actually very limited and will not last forever unless there is a balance. We must protect the resources we have in order for them to last into the next generation.

Along the coast, the breeze, blowing alternately onshore and offshore, modifies the temperature. Because of its geographic situation, the city is often reached—especially during autumn and winter—by cold fronts advancing from Antarctica, which cause frequent weather changes. But it is mostly in summer that strong showers may provoke catastrophic floods and landslides. The mountainous areas register greater rainfall since they constitute a barrier to the humid wind that comes from the Atlantic. The highest rainfall rate, where nearby coastal mountains trap humid winds from the
The climate of the Philippines, which is tropical, subjected to violent monsoons, seasons of drenching rains, and an almost intolerable heat lasting from March to July, has made it necessary to change continually the Spanish administrators. By 1571, the country had control over the islands, except for any Islamic areas.
People from all over the world go to beautiful beaches that are filled with water as clear as ice or as beautiful as diamonds. But, what will happen if we do not conserve the appealing sites that draw attraction to the public? Contaminated beaches has become a controversial issue to the public because of the causal problem, the harm to the people and marine animals, the government agencies supporting or opposing pollution, and the industries involved in creating such unlawful decisions. To create and find a solution, we must first find the core to the problem.
