Clarity is very important in our life, and without it, I believe we are lost. Being a security officer I use clarity every day. There are about 1,500 employees works for this company, and I developed good relations with the employees and customers. People always ask me help about things they lost or customers that do not know the departments they are going, so I have to find creative solutions to their problems. I have to be very clear about what I am doing and have to make sure I am doing correctly.
Accuracy There are people who always forget their employee's ID, and without that, they cannot get in to plant. As security, I have to follow company policies to not let in those employees unless I get approved from the management. The first

I do my parts of the job very well, and I take seriously. Since I speak two languages sometimes I help for the language between the employees who do not understand each other. I watch and report suspicious things and to ensure the facility is safe at all the time, so I think I am very important to them.
Fairness is important to all parts of life. I always try to be fair in workplace, and treat people the same no matter their race or religion. The things that I always do in fair in my workplace are, the company I work have very strict rules about smoking. People cannot smoke in the parking lot, if they are smoking they have to smoke inside of their car. My job is to report if I see anyone who broke that rule. Some people who we share same ethics always expected me that I do not report them because simply we are same race. I do my job and try to be fair for everyone, and fairness is very important for any
In my opinion, it is important for private and public organizations to adopt and implement programs and laws to overcome the challenges in a diverse work environment. One of the laws that organizations follow are Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972. Equal Employment Act of 1972 prohibits discrimination of employment on the basis of race, color, nation, origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political , beliefs , and marital status. Another law that
Ensuring equality among the people promotes fairness and reduces conflict and jealousy. By treating everyone equally we maintain our respect and are able to work together better. The rule we create treats everyone the same and does not provide any special treatment to any specific person. As long as everyone does what is required of them they will obtain what is rightfully due to them.
We receive privilege’s that others do not, because of race, social class, education, and gender, even age and the way we present ourselves. Also as a white, married, middle-class, mother, in my thirties, I get respect from a stranger, whether it be at the store, restaurant, or out at a movie theater. I 'm approachable, or non-threating look. My husband also gets these perks, and even more than me because he is a man. Do I feel this is right, no? In the perfect world we would all be treated the same, but because of social location people will also be treated differently than others. We as a society should look at qualifications instead of gender or color.
What core competencies do you think the company has and what is needed to exploit opportunity and counter threats.
a country who is trying to strive to be better, we must first start with making everyone an equal. This will start once we look at everyone the same. If we continue to look at everyone’s differences, then we aren’t being fair or true to one another.
Discrimination is known to exist in all workplaces, sometimes it is too subtle to notice, and other times it is exceedingly obvious. It is known that everyone subconsciously discriminates, dependant on their own beliefs and environments that surround them. However, discrimination can be either positive or negative in their results, and sometimes discrimination is a necessary part of life.
Discrimination in the workplace occurs when an employee experiences harsh or unfair treatment due to their race, religion, national origin, disabled or veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Discrimination is one of the biggest problems people face in the workplace and it must be dealt with forcefully.
Introduction- Discrimination affects people all over the world. People of all ethnicities and from all different walks of life are influenced in some way by workplace discrimination. "Discrimination" means unequal treatment. One of the most common elements discriminated against is a persons ethnicity, or their race. This is called Racial Discrimination. While there are many federal laws concerning discrimination, most states have enacted laws that prohibit it. These laws may have different remedies than the federal laws and may, in certain circumstances be more favorable than the federal laws.
According to minorities today, racism and discrimination are some of the major factors that are present in the workplace. In the labor force specifically, we see racism, discrimination, and inequality that deprive minorities of the opportunity to succeed in life. Research shows that African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, women, lesbians, gays, and transgenders in the world suffer injustices that shouldn’t be taking place according to laws that were placed to defend these groups. According to the research, minorities in the labor force are not getting their due because they are treated unequally, face discrimination and their employers violate their rights.
Living in a diverse world should be something a person should be proud of. Getting to know a person’s culture and their beliefs should be a wonderful ability. Respecting one another is important, even though a lot of people still disregard that, which should discontinue. We should all start to learn how to make this world a better place,
Many would agree that discrimination built on race, gender, religion and ethnic is ethically wrong and it is a violation of the value of equality. “The equality principle requires that those who are equal be treated equally based on similarities, and that race is not a relevant consideration in that assessment” (May & Sharratt 1994, pg317). The U.S. alone there has been many events which have occur that shows that discrimination still exits. For example, based on the law distribution of some benefit are strictly based on race and social class. Moreover, there are school scholarships that are based on race, status, citizenship, mental etc. Further, “the notion of race gradually took hold in U.S. society when the institution of slavery reinforced the idea that one race could be inferior to another” (Banks & Eberhardt 1998, pg.
Clarity is the second important aspect in effective workplace communication, because clarity fosters understanding, and if everybody in the workplace has a clear understanding of each other, miscommunication happens muc...
This doesn’t always have to be in the work place, but in everyday life. Back when discrimination was widely spread, it was common for people to discriminate against those of different ethnicities. Richard Lapiere did a study about this to see if the attitude of someone working would give negative behavior to the customer of a different culture. During this time period Asians were not a favorite of the American culture. Lapiere attended with an Asian couple “67 hotels and 184 restaurants,” (Simply Psychology) with a plan. They attended these places to see how Asians would be reacted to. They made it into every business and were treated like Lapiere, as if they were not discriminated against. With an idea in mind, 6 months after attending these places Lapiere sent in letters asking if they would serve and accept the guests.
There are many types of discrimination in the America such as racial, religious, age, disability, and sexual. As college students, discrimination will play a major role in minorities lives as they look for employment or whom they are employed with. Discrimination and the opportunities for promotion are still common even though companies create a safe place to prevent racial discrimination. Racial discrimination is one of the world’s major issues today. Many are not aware on how much it still exists everywhere. A person cannot be born racist and discriminative but only learn to become one as they grow from child to an adult.
Since the era human societies began shaping up, stratification of the society based on the individual talents had an important impact in establishing the system of modern nations and cultures. Undoubtedly, this layering between the social classes led to the germination of the seeds of superiority among the better families, and also among more powerful individuals. Although present day society is more tolerant and impartial than ever before, there are still some facets of the society in which inequality and discrimination prevails, or I should say plays the most important role in one’s life. The discrimination between human beings based on their race, color, gender, social, or economic status is one of the social evils that I think bothers me
