There is a very strong connection between belief, faith, and action. Someone’s action will more than likely follow their beliefs. With belief it will always determine the level of faith. Christian Ministry is to help develop faith in other people though the sharing of one’s belief. What someone believes is the framework for the content of methodology of any Christian ministry. Anyone who is in the ministry must be clear on their beliefs and the affect of those beliefs in the work of the ministry. In the next few paragraphs we will go over the theological beliefs and how these beliefs affect the gospel message.
Metaphysics Christian ministry is dependent on the concept of metaphysics which deals with the nature of being and reality. everyone

It deals with logic and rational thinking as to our justifications in things we believe. Human beings can know truth through the senses, reason, and revelation So, in other words it is the theory of knowledge regards to the method, validity and scope. Jay wood said, becoming virtuous is part of what makes us fit residents of the kingdom, ready and able to do Gods work now and in the age to come. It is the investigation of what distinguishes justified from opinion. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This verse explains how we should trust the Lord and lean not on our own …show more content…
It studies the worth of the basis upon which a truth can be formed truthfully. Axiology studies mainly two kinds of values: Ethics and aesthetics. Ethics examines the concepts of "right" and "good" in individual and social conduct. Aesthetics studies the concepts of "beauty" and "harmony. Christian Ministry should be achieved in such a way that such things are emphasized and attributed to God. as Christians we should know that God and His Word is the only value that makes every difference in the world and the world to come. We are precious to God. Our worth to Him is that He sent his only son to die for our sins, so we could spend eternity with Him. We are invaluable to God. As we read in the new testament we see that Jesus paid the ultimate price for us. We see that he would have risked His life even if it was only for one of us. Matthew 20:28 says: “Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for
“ A sacrifice to be real must cost, must hurt, must empty ourselves.” ~Mother Teresa. Servicemen like firefighters, police officers, and military personnel sacrifice their lives every single day. Harriet Tubman made over a dozen trips to the South to help free slaves. Moche’ from the novel Night, went back to his home to warn his friends and family about what was about to happen to them. However, Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. How much do people sacrifice? These people risk their lives, freedom, and safety. Not everyone is a selfish person, people like to help other people. That’s just humanity.
My life is governed by the beliefs of the Christian faith. The teaching of Christianity is the driving force that gives me confidence, hope and self-acceptance through God’s unconditional love. God’s love enables me in faith
“We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. Being fully God and perfect man He performed miracles and lived a sinless life.” (GCU, Doctorial Statement) This paper will discuss how God and Jesus Christ is the essential core of all Christian worldviews despite the many differing internal worldviews they have.
Jesus died for our sin. He didn’t have to die for us. He could have fallen into Satan's temptations when He told Jesus He didn’t have to die. Jesus ignored Him he fought the temptations because He knew that He was born into this world to save all of us and die for us, which means that He is willing to sacrifice his own life for all of us. Jesus didn't have to die for us but he did. Satan had given him the opportunity not to die but Jesus didn't accept the offer because he knew it was the right thing to do and he didn’t have to prove himself to someone who had no faith in him. Who was willing to break him down for their own
Without this theology, not only the believer, but the missionary has no foundation to build upon. Believers in general, but especially missionaries must prepare themselves through prayer in order to lead churches to preach and teach the Word of God. Paul tells us in 1 Timothy that those that labor in preaching and teaching” should be considered worthy of double honor. (1 Tim. 5:17) This is important because Christian’s understanding their role as a believer, or again even more importantly, the role of a missionary is extremely vital in advancing God’s kingdom. Winter and Hawthorne rightly say in our text that “If we in the West insist on keeping our blessing instead of sharing it, then we will, like other nations before us (Israel, Rome, etc) perhaps have to “lose” our blessing in order for the remaining nations to receive.” Although there are times in today’s world that may seem like the world has turned their backs on God, Christian’s should look with great anticipation for the days that are coming when God will reclaim the earth and believers will be redeemed. The reason that believers practice missions is the end result. Redemption from sin, and receiving an inheritance from God including “full rights as sons” is only part of what is in store for the child of
In a survey conducted in 2012, LifeWay.com inquired about the importance of evangelism among members of the Christian faith. The results of the survey showed that 80 percent of people who claimed to follow Jesus Christ and had openly devoted themselves to the teaching of Christianity, felt that they had a “personal responsibility to share their religious views and beliefs about Jesus Christ with non-christians” (Wilke, LifeWay.com). Surveys such as this reflect the Christian doctrine of evangelism and the weight it holds within the Christian faith. As can be seen back in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus Christ commanded His followers “to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).” However, Jesus never told His followers how doing this.
Philosophy of Ministry: God's desires come first, I must always live my ministry God's way. I must live as a Christian (1 Corinthians 9:27) I must have a proper relationship of surrender to the Leader. In my personal life or in the Church I must understand that Christ is Head and Chief Shepherd (Ephesians 1:22, Hebrews 13:20). The “management” of Church is about relationships with God and Man, not just maintaining a social organization.
In ministry it is important to note that the different people involved in your ministry will be at different stages of their spiritual growth. Having an awareness of your own personal theology will be important for how you go about teaching the students who are involved in your youth ministry. One part of personal theology is spiritual formation. Duffy Robbins states that spiritual formation is, “the growing into the likeness of Jesus” (448). Another main part of personal theology is community. Understanding and having an idea of both spiritual formation and community helps with the formation of personal theology of ministry. This paper will share five areas of theology and how they relate to practical theology in youth ministry. The five areas of theology include view of God, view of people, view of sin, view of redemption, and view of scripture.
He experienced how to love and to be loved. But was thorned between sacrificing his love for the sake of his people and sacrificing his people for the sake of love. If I were in his shoes, I would sacrifice love for the sake of the many people, because I know that the one I love will understand and trust me for my decision. And I know that God has a better plan for my life. This one is related to John 3:16 states that “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting
The following questions are based on Chapter 3 in Yount’s The Teaching Ministry of the Church:
Whenever someone asks you for help and you go ahead and help that person, you spend your time and energy. Sometimes helping others may take a lot of resources such as money, but sometimes you may die while trying to help. That is how sacrifice works, you give something of your own for the good of others. Often people expect being thanked or liked for sacrificing, they may do it out of compassion or feelings of self-righteousness. However, God gave humanity an example of the greatest sacrifice, sacrifice of His own son.
A person’s faith starts with a single act based on personal beliefs and trust in the teaching and words of Jesus Christ. As a leader in the Church and military the development of my personal faith is important in evaluating the spirituality and personal convictions of an individual person that is willing to save souls for Christ. The foundation of this course and reading Estep’s text has allowed me to develop a deeper connection with God by integrating dee...
To obtain such faith God instituted the office of preaching, giving the gospel and the sacraments. Through these, as through means, he gives the Holy Spirit who produces faith, where and when he wills, in those who hear the gospel. It teaches that we have a gracious God, not through our own merit but through Christ’s merit, when we so believe.
Going into the community is to show the love for the people. Anderson shares, “In his ministry Jesus united all of these discrete ministries around the primary motivation and core of love.” Love must be the first tool used. Anderson continues, “Ministry is to relate to people as persons. The church is made for people, people are not made for the church (Mark 2:27). Outreach is to love people as persons. Every person in the world has a right to know that a particular individual loves him or her for Jesus’ sake.” While Jesus tells us to go and teach all nations (Matt. 28:19), we need the proper guidance. “We read very little in the New Testament about the power and presence of the Spirit in the church in Jerusalem, where there is no evidence of a strong mission outreach.” (Anderson). Evangelism is important, but it should be taught to the people, rather than expecting them to catch
