The story started with the discouraging words of Elijah, the theme that runs throughout the story is faith and love which teaches us to trust in the providence of the Lord. At first, he started to disobey the will of God, but upon understanding his mistakes he realized that all of the struggles he experienced are just challenges that God has planned for him. The story is very inspiring. Elijah was destined to be a prophet and lead the people to the right path. He went through a lot of pain and suffering. He failed many times, but the progress he made and the people he met throughout his life were instruments. For me, being a leader, failure is not an hindrance to achieve what the best for you and the people around you. He experienced how to love and to be loved. But was thorned between sacrificing his love for the sake of his people and sacrificing his people for the sake of love. If I were in his shoes, I would sacrifice love for the sake of the many people, because I know that the one I love will understand and trust me for my decision.
