On May 5th 1989 in Tappahannock,Virginia Christopher Maurice Brown was born. In 2005 I was introduced to the talented handsome Chris Brown. The new young voice was different, something about it just had a new type of vibe and the videos were legendary and fun. He was more than another voice and cute face, his music was just something that spoke to me. The first song I heard was Run It and I couldn't replay it so as soon as I got home I got on my desktop and looked him up. I typed the name I heard them say on the radio which was Chris Brown and from there more songs came up. I began listening and learning the lyrics, that's when I fell in love with what he was doing. The videos were so live and fun and he seemed like just a normal nobody singing like he have always done all his life. His discovery was truly a miracle and not because his parents had money or knew someone that was in the game. He had not one but two talents. He was an amazing dancer. His videos made a person feel like they were in some type of dance battle and when it wasn't that feeling it felt like you were watching a movie. The type of music Chris Brown would be associated with to me would have to be popular music or pop music for short. A lot of his music reaches all types of people. Along with pop music is does R&B and Rap. At age 15 …show more content…
He worked hard to become like them, to become good enough so that one day he could meet them and say he does this because of them. He studied moves, music, and just the way they were in general. When first starting you could see a the inspiration that these artists had on him. In the year of 2011 he made a song in tribute to Michael Jackson which became the hit known as she ain't you. To the public eye the things his influences stood for a slowly fading away from what Chris stands for especially after the the year 2009 when Chris and his first love known nationwide Rihanna got into a dispute that caused Chris to get charged with domestic
Kanye Omari West, rapper, producer, professional celebrity, and with an ego to match, has forced himself into the limelight of the music industry. Kanye West has made a lasting impression on all of those around him, whether it be a good one or bad. With seven full length albums, a multimillion record label company, and a successful fashion business all under his belt, it’s fair to say that Kanye has done his fair share of creating. Over the last twelve years Kanye went from a young Chicago kid just trying to get his flows off, to one of the most decorated musicians of all time. With over 20 Grammy’s and 3 of his albums ending up on the Rolling stones “500 greatest albums of all time”. He has continuously created, entertained, and spoken his mind for years. Whether it be “George Bush does not care about black people” or “Taylor imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had
As a co-writer and producer, Brown has worked to develop many of the artists we have come to know today. Performers such as, Rick Barry, Status Green, Corey Wagar, Jerzy Jung, Natalie Stovall, Alex Brumel, and Andrew Holtz have all come to know his commitment to songwriting quite well, with some gaining major momentum because of it. His long career has seen him go thru several major label recording deals and at least three distinct publishing deals. He has achieved song placements in TV and film, and working with great producers and mentors like Danny Kortchmar (Don Henley, James Taylor, Rod Stewart), Peter Collins (Jewel, Rush, Indigo Girls), Monty Powell (Keith Urban, Lady A, Diamond Rio) and others that he’s no doubt picked up a few tricks from over the years.
Well, he shows you do not have to be the smartest person to be successful and that never to give up on what you’re after. For example, he puts parts of his personal life into his music to show that just because he has fame and fortune that doesn’t mean he’s like any other human being. He sings and raps about love, passion, and loss. For one in his song “Hotline Bling” from his album “Views,” shows a loss of a friend, or maybe a lover and how things change and one you stop trying to make the relationship work, but turns out into just being “you used to.”
John Brown became a legend of his time. He was a God fearing, yet violent man and slaveholders saw him as evil, fanatic, a murderer, lunatic, liar, and horse thief. To abolitionists, he was noble and courageous. John Brown was born in 1800 and grew up in the wilderness of Ohio. At seventeen, he left home and soon mastered the arts of farming, tanning, and home building.
We will look into the life of James Brown. He is known for his music. In his life, he had to face many obstacles, but through determination, he changed his life cycle. We will touch on the influences in his life, developmental stage and theories that best fit his personality.
He had exposure to several different genres growing up in his St. Louis, MO hometown. He heard country from the whites, rhythm & blues (R&B) from mostly blacks, even Latin music. His family environment set him up well for future success while growing up in a middle class home in the middle of the Great Depression of the 1930s. His parents sun...
This shows that this is him and who he really is. People following his beliefs because he treated people equally and judged people equally. This is a big difference from him and other hip-hop artists.
The rhythm and blues that Presley listened to throughout his years, whether in church or on the streets of Memphis, became a part of the way he sang and played. Taking the fundamentals of rhythm-and-blues, giving it a sense of speed, and with a voice full of passion, he popularized this genre of music. With his style of music and stirring performances in concerts, he was a role model for many who would eventually become musicians themselves. With his music that included both white and black-created influences, and his movement when singing, he gathered a multitude of fans and spread rock and roll across America. Elvis Presley changed the way music is today. He gave musicians a more sped up rhythm and exciting motion that intrigued an entirely different generation of fans. Without him, the music that millions listen to today could be vastly or slightly different, but it still would not be exactly what it is
He may just seem like another rapper to you but if you actually listen to his lyrics you can see he’s not like any rapper out there. His name is Kanye West and he was born in Chicago Illinois. He grew up in the “ghetto” and learned to appreciate life. He didn’t learn to really, truly appreciate life until October of 2002. Driving back to his hotel late one night after a recording session, the new-coming rap/hip-hop artist was involved in a devastating, near fatal car accident. The crash left him with a broken jaw in three places and an appreciation for life. Just weeks after being released from the hospital he recorded his first major hit, “Through the Wire,” with his mouth still wired shut. He records every song like its going to be his last song and that makes every song better than the last. He’s not only a rap artist but also a producer. He has been responsible for being behind songs like Jay-Z’s Izzo, Girls, Girls, Girls, The Takeover, and 03 Bonnie and Clyde.
Some people are born to become legends, Bruce Springsteen is one of them. From the second he was born and through his younger years everyone knew he was destined for something bigger than a regular nine to five life, they just didn’t realize the magnitude of what was to come. Born into a all around food middle-class family, no on in that house hold even Bruce, didn’t realize that within fifty years he would reach living legend status. Also have a title of one of the best musicians to every live. After working hard at what he loves, Bruce has become known as a musical hero and inspiration to his fans and fellow musicians. With his deep lyrics, amazing stage presence, incredible guitar skills, and his passion, he is an untouchable force in the music industry. Using his lyrics to vent his emotions and past, but to also add awareness to social issues around the world. Bruce and his love for music affected him his whole life, and has shaped into what he is today. His music now affects the world. His music has truly changed the world (musically and socially) forever.
One of the many adversities he had to adapt to was the feuds of the East and West Coast. This influenced his songs and the way his fans depicted the East Coast, Bad Boys. He also had to deal with the way blacks were treated and looked at by the white community. Although his music brings up many controversy, he is undoubtedly a big part of the way African Americans are being depicted today. He reached the people not just through his music but by the constant protests for equality also while striving for the betterment of his the African American community. The way that society and media looks at African American people and hip hop music are all rooted from
Introduction: Perhaps no one has received this title in history “the king of pop”, now a days many artist’s have arisen and have performed but not as the king of pop known worldwide and in history, has dominated the world of pop as Michael Jackson.
Modern society has made a sub-culture that lives in a reality that is not real. It is so far from the truth that the inhabitants of this sub-culture so often cannot live in both realities and have become a spectacle for others to marvel at. This sub-culture is made up of entertainers, millionaires, and athletes. The people in this group can range from newborns to death and some live on well after. The specimens that I find an interest in are the young ones that enter into this society not knowing well that their lives will never be the same. Britney Spears was just another victim of the society that brings into their prison.
Michael Jackson is one of my favorite singers. He is very famous, so most of all people in the world know him, at least his name. I began to listen to his songs because I was recommended them by my friend, and I was really attracted by them. I have two reasons why I like him.
