One of my family’s most loved treats is chocolate chip cookies. From the scent of the kitchen to the gooey, hot treats leaving the stove. As far as there is a gallon of milk in the refrigerator to oblige this delicious treat, my family is prepared for chocolate chip treats anytime. Oftentimes, my younger brother and I make the treats together to appreciate some discussion and time while making a flavorful treat. Chocolate chip treats bring my brother and me together, as well as they deliver us with a delightful treat, and they enable us to impart them to our whole family once we have our completed item.
Usually my brother and I get ready in advance. We ensure we have enough supplies among us, and we make a rundown of missing supplies to get

We put twelve spoonsful of mixture on each heating sheet, preparing twenty-four treats at one time. Next, we place them in our preheated stove, and we set the clock for ten minutes. Once more, the formula says nine to eleven minutes, however from our broad involvement with my broiler, we have discovered that ten minutes works the best. While the cookies are heating, we at that point set up the two other cookie sheets by putting twelve spoonsful of cookie batter on each pan. When the clock goes off, we pull the cookie sheets with newly prepared chocolate chip cookies out of the stove, and after that we put the two different sheets of cookie mixture into the oven. We again set the clock for ten …show more content…
Both my brother and I feel that a quality affirmation check is very important on each bunch that originates from the stove, regularly bringing about a stomach throb before the finish of the preparing session. We savor the main taste of our gooey, delightful treat of chocolate chip cookies. They are still warm from the broiler, and they basically liquefy in our mouths. We know we need to spare the larger part to share to whatever is left with our family, yet we make the most of our scrumptious regard as a reward for our baking
Many of people have tasted chocolate chip cookies, but many don’t know how it’s sweet taste was discovered. In 1928 Ruth Wakefield made a delicious discovery. One day, she was baking a batch of her butter
Every girl struggles with self-image and weight. Models Don’t Eat Chocolate Cookies by Erin Dionne is a story about a junior high girl who learns that everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way. Models Don’t Eat Chocolate Cookies is a great book to read because of its teen settings, relatable characters, and truthful plot.
Madelyn McQueen - Twin Falls Idaho Have you ever wondered how the delicious, classic treat came to be? Well, any event you can think of after the date of 1938, the cookie was bound to be there. Several stories about how the country’s favorite baked good came to be, have been spread and believed by thousands. For example, Ruth Wakefield unexpectedly ran out of nuts for a regular ice-cream cookie recipe and, in desperation, replaced them with chunks chopped out of a bar of Nestle bittersweet chocolate. Another story is said that the vibrations from an industrial mixer caused chocolate stored on a shelf in the Toll House kitchen to fall into a bowl of cookie dough as it was being mixed. Sadly, all of these stories are false, says Carolyn Wyman in her recently published “Great American Chocolate Chip Cookie Book.” In her book, Wyman offers a more believable version of how the cookie came to be. Wyman argues, that Ruth Wakefield, who had a degree in household arts and a reputation for perfectionism, would not have allowed her restaurant, which was famed for its desserts, to run out of such

One thousand boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Every year the reward changes, a cool set of speakers, a laptop, an iPad, a gaming system, or cookie credits, large quantities of rewards points usable only within Girl Scouts. Since Kindergarten selling one thousand boxes of cookies has been my goal. A lofty achievement for a high school senior, never mind a five year old. The closest I have gotten was in sixth grade when I sold a little over 650 boxes. I was out every day after school and all day most weekends during the cookie season. From January to March I went door to door on foot through half empty neighborhoods on Martha's Vineyard. I had booth sales in the places with the greatest intensity of pedestrian and bicycle traffic. I went to the

After the chilling hour is over, you will need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. You can now roll out the dough. The dough needs to be somewhat thin but still thick, so the cookie won’t burn when it is in the oven. Using Christmas cookie cutters, cut out the cookie shapes you want and then place them on a greased cookie stone. Let the cookies bake in the oven for about 6 to 8 minutes.

Although I have grown up to be entirely inept at the art of cooking, as to make even the most wretched chef ridicule my sad baking attempts, my childhood would have indicated otherwise; I was always on the countertop next to my mother’s cooking bowl, adding and mixing ingredients that would doubtlessly create a delicious food. When I was younger, cooking came intrinsically with the holiday season, which made that time of year the prime occasion for me to unite with ounces and ounces of satin dark chocolate, various other messy and gooey ingredients, numerous cooking utensils, and the assistance of my mother to cook what would soon be an edible masterpiece. The most memorable of the holiday works of art were our Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, which my mother and I first made when I was about six and are now made annually.
It's that time of year again where families gather to enjoy quality time, watch football/ family-friendly movies, and of course enjoy good food. One of my favorite things about the holidays is baking, more in specifically cookies. I tend to find baking to be a fun and relaxing so much so that I've no doubt I whipped up the majority if not all of the holiday classics at some point in time. My mom usually is my sidekick in the kitchen and growing up she taught me how to make gingerbread men, Russian tea cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies (her favorite as well as my fathers), peanut butter blossoms, sugar and chocolate chip, etc. I don't discriminate and neither did she.

There are many myths and misunderstandings about chocolate. For example, chocolate is not addictive. Many people might consider themselves “chocoholics”, but the fact of the matter is that there is now actual chemical addiction. Researchers, instead, insist that chocolate cravings are stimulated by the “sensory properties”, such as the smell, taste and texture, of chocolate (Brody Pars. 26). In a study concerning the satisfaction of a chocolate craving, one group was given a milk chocolate bar, one group was given a white chocolate bar that contains no actual cocoa, one group was given a capsule of cocoa powder, a...
