Dog has been “man’s best friend” for ages. Around Franklin County, almost everyone owns a dog. Since many owners are farmers, people in the Franklin County area need a dog who will be loyal, can herd livestock if need be, and is obedient to its master. The best breed of dog that fits this description is the Blue Heeler, also known as the Australian Cattle Dog. Though these dogs are better suited for the rural areas, many people in the city own them as well. Sprightly yet independent, the Australian Cattle Dogs are great companions for single people and families alike. Blue Heelers are the all-around best breed of dog in Franklin County.
Pit bulls, the most dangerous dog to ever live. People like to train Pit Bulls to fight other dogs until they are either hurt or dead. The owners that train the dogs are usually the ones that make the dog turn out to be vicious and dangerous. “Each year, 1.2 million dogs are euthanized, approximately 40% of whom are Pit Bulls”(Moore). Pit Bulls don’t know better to understand which is right from wrong since they’re being raised up to fight and protect. Pit Bulls aren’t good family dogs due to the power of their strength and that they could attack at any moment.
The Crips, as we learned in module 3 are one of the most notorious black or predominately African American gang founded in Southern Los Angeles, California in 1969. This gang was co-found by 16-year-old Raymond Washington and Stanley Tookie Williams III. Even before the Crips however, there was a gang known as the Hoover Groovers. The Hoover Groovers would later form an alliance with the Crips and change their name to Hoover Crips.

The cutaneous form produces mild skin ulcers, mucocutaneous produces ulcers in the mouth and nose, and the visceral form of the disease starts with skin ulcers and then fever, low red blood cell count, and an enlarged spleen and liver. The parasite is detected by a microscope and visceral can also be found by doing blood tests. 12 million people are in infected in 98 different countries and 2 million new cases are found every year. The disease also kills around 20 to 50 thousand people a year.

Picture this: you go to the Tanganyika zoo and you see this huge tent. You’re wondering what’s inside so you walk over to it and go in. Apparently it’s an animal exhibit. There’s a strange animal and you see, its plain white and very still. You’re not even sure if it’s alive. The sign says it’s an albino American alligator. You have no idea what the word albino means but then all of the sudden it opens its eyes and they are pink.
Nail biting has been regarded as a common habit that tends to begin in the childhood years. For some this is just a childhood phase, but for many it can continue into adult life. Most nail biters are extremely embarrassed or ashamed of this habit. This particular habit usually becomes worse through anxiety or stress. Nail biting is an “unconscious” behavior and most individuals will bite their nails at any time, whether they are in the public eye or at home.
The dog bites once and punctures the skin, but the puncture is shallower than the length of their canine tooth. This bite may not be severe, but it is both painful and reportable. Once a dog has bitten at this level or higher, they will always be considered a liability, even if their behavior is greatly improved through behavior modification.
You develop it by a female infected mosquito with parasites transmitting its bite through the skin. This can cause severe redness on the area and continuous itching which can cause the bite to inflame.
Not all cnidarians are known to be killers, but some cnidarians are among the most dangerous marine species known to man. Cnidarians look like delicate creatures, but the potent toxins injected into their prey can kill within minutes. The severity of a sting is determined by the species of jellyfish, the thickness of exposed skin, and the sensitivity the victim has to venom. If stung, you should not panic but find medical attention right away. You will want to wash the stung area with salt water, because freshwater will stimulate the nematocysts again. The best thing to inactivate the nematocysts is vinegar and alcohol. There are also a variety of other sources that can reduce the effect of the sting such as meat tenderizer, sugar, plant juices
During a bite, an infected blackfly (genus Simulium) introduces third-stage larvae onto the skin of the human, where they enter the bite wound
Animal bites on humans may cause open wounds or even crushing injuries. Like us, all animals carry certain bacteria or viruses that can cause illness if passed on to humans via the open wounds. The pathogen entry pathway for these zoonotic infections include bites or scratches, and direct contact saliva or waste. These diseases bring about a considerable amount of inconvenience to humans and therefore, the greatest concerns are of young children and immunocompromised patients. Children are especially susceptible to getting bitten and an adult supervision is always recommended because their immune systems are still weak and an infection that might mildly infect an adult can be fatal for them.
