Since Busch Gardens had opened its doors, it had done a great job at getting people’s attention and meeting their needs with its unique wild animal themes and its appreciation for nature. With all of the different events the park hosts during the year, marketing activities are directed towards different target markets which includes mothers, families, couples, thrill-seekers, etc…Although Busch Gardens have had great success over the years, the company fails to keep up with the other major theme parks who are more advanced with their technological devices such as Disney’s MagicBand. With the new ride, Falcon’s Fury, opening on May 1st, 2014, it will be a great opportunity for Busch Gardens to attract even more guests to the park.

The proposed location in Cobb County lies between Interstate 75 and Interstate 285 and will provide multiple access points to the stadium. There are numerous highways and side roads that will alleviate traffic congestion before and after game time. The proposed track of land for the new stadium is approximately 60 acres. However, the stadium will only occupy approximately 15 acres. The remaining 45 acres will be utilized for parking and mixed-use development. The site will accommodate approximately 6,000 parking spaces and the mixed-use development will consists of shops, restaurants, bars, residences, offices, and hotels. The 60 acre complex is designed to keep the sports fan entertained for the entire day and not just for the game only. If additional parking is needed, there are approximately 30,000 parking spaces within close proximity to the proposed stadium location that will have circulator shuttle access.
The creation of the computer and the Internet has significantly furthered and revolutionized Parks and Recreation Districts across the country. Parks and Recreation Management is a profession that has been able to prosper with the Internet and personal computers today. Recreation in the present day is becoming especially popular due to a general decrease in working hours because of the economy. Why do we need skateparks? This has been a long running question that many of us do not really know the answer to. There is many opposing views on a skatepark and there are many views that support the cause. The main point is why they are beneficial to a community and the inhabitants alike. They bring much joy through the years for people of all ages and are a great addition for its cost. Skateparks are beneficial because they promote less crime, promote health and healthy lifestyles, and they are a great for community development.
Each area has age appropriate sized equipment to engage children from two to twelve. The playground passed all of the four categories: supervision, age appropriate design, fall surfacing, and equipment maintenance. Evaluation of the playground equipment resulted in only two “no” checkmarks due to the fact that it lacked a sign indicating the age group for the equipment and the expected behavior rules were not posted. Other than that, the newly installed playground received a “yes” checkmark in all of the other criteria. The playground was designed to allow parents to sit and watch their children with ease in an unobstructed play area. Clearly, there were separate areas for younger children with smaller slides and a separate swing set for toddlers. The structure itself was appropriately designed and did not have any areas that could be climbed on that were not intended to be climbed on. Soft sand blanketed the playground and the equipment height was within the recommended height requirements which made it safe. All footings were properly covered and no gaps, missing parts, protruding bolts, or broken equipment were seen. Therefore, this playground is deemed safe and free from potential
From 2001 2002 there was a 23% increase in the construction of sports stadiums and arenas with costs of those facilities upwards of $7.8 billion. The growing global sport industry requires that sport facility and event management keep current of new and proven management techniques. Sport Facility Management: Organizing Events and Mitigating Risks by Ammon, Jr., Southall, and Blair, provides readers with a basic introduction to elements of facility management for the full range of sporting and entertainment events. There is a high demand for individuals who are educated and trained in facility management, event organization, and risk management and since the September 11 attacks there has been a great emphasis placed on facility and risk management. Each chapter provides theoretical foundations and practical applications for each critical phase of facility management. The authors provided photographs, case studies, and industry examples to assist the reader in gaining an overall basic, picture of the sporting event and entertainment industry today. The book provides in-depth discussions about positive advances that have made the entire experience easier and more comfortable for fans; and about the negative economic and cultural consequences for sport events after September 11 2001.
We want to start an amusement park, titled Fun Land because we consider it to be a fun family experience. A large amount of money can be profited from the experience. Our short term goals include getting the business up and running with reliable employees, getting the Fun Land name out into the public, paying off some of the debt, and giving customers a good experience. Our goals in five years include having new and attractive rides, good flow of customers, and good reputation. In ten years we want to generate millions of dollars, expand, and build new and exciting rides. We want to provide a safe, affordable, and joyful experience for each and every one of our customers. We believe strongly in honesty so our rides would be monthly inspected and all foods will be properly maintained. We will also provide refunds for any mishaps or unsatisfied service. Fun Land is set up as a partnership between Shur’Myra Lillard and David Chan, as partners we will share the responsibilities and risk in starting a new business. Shur’Myra will be the staff manager and David will be the financial manager. Both will be responsible for hiring engineers for the rides and other employees. A specific playground was selected, to be the Pembroke playground, due to its recent refurbishment of the floor surface and new equipment which also gave me the opportunity to learn the process from the restorers of the site themselves. At M Quip Co. Ltd., the whole construction process was explained from the formation to the placing of the Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) tiles used for the safety surfacing of the selected playground.
