Character: CW2 Ramos displayed tremendous character throughout this rated period. He could always be counted on to do what is right despite the various logistical shortfalls he encountered daily. He staunchly supports the Commander’s SHARP and EO programs and fostered a climate of dignity and respect throughout the geographically Brigade. ... patrols and his men had very little trust in him because he would not do anything that he was asking them to do. He was however a good leader in that he did not give up on his men like SFC Gallagher did. He had a plan going into the situation and did not let his inexperience detour him. He knew the platoon he was going to was a problem platoon and he accepted the challenge and attacked it head on. He held the men to a higher standard than they had been in the past and tried to pick them up and dust them off. He aided 1LT Norton in reviving 1st platoon and building their morale back up, they were just getting back on their feet when the incident at JSB happened where two soldiers went missing and then the rape and murder was investigated effectively ending 1st platoons deployment, but nonetheless SFC Fenlason was there through it all and stuck with his platoon.
The definition of compassion: sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. As this definition shows compassion shows concern for other that every person would love to have. In The Chosen written by Chaim Potok, Mr. Potok really presents compassion in his book. Not only does he display compassion in one of his character but in every single one he gives them compassion that is expressed in different ways. He goes into detail example of compassion with each of his characters and really emphasizes the true meaning of compassion. Three main character that he shows compassion through in different ways are, Reuven, Mr. Malter and Reb Sanders.
As the incoming brigade commander, LTC (P) Owens, I see the critical leadership problem facing the 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) is the inability or unwillingness of Colonel Cutler to lead and manage change effectively. Papi always encourages Michael to play baseball and he always has high hopes for Michael’s career in baseball. Jasper Jones was written by Craig Silvey, a Fremantle-based writer. The story revolves around two young boys Charlie and Jasper Jones who live in a small town in Australia. One day Jasper find Laura bruised and hanging form the tree. He is the rebel in the town, people think he murdered Laura regardless of the truth, so he asks Charlie to help him and they work together to find the truth behind Laura’s death. During the long summer, Charlie witnesses racism, brutality and hypocrisy. He is forced to rethink his ideas about morality and ethics. Sir, I am honored by the privilege to once again serve in 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT). Over of the last 30 days, I had an opportunity to reconnect, and reflect on the current state of the Brigade. The 4th ABCT has a rich history of success and glory. It is my goal to put in place the systems and practices for this great organization to exceed all past and present accomplishments. As a result of my assessment, I identified three areas of focus that will improve our organization: a unit vision, a change in organizational culture and climate, and building organizational teams. I have no doubt that with the implementation of these three areas of focus, I will be the transformational leader that 4th ABCT needs as we prepare for the upcoming National Training Center (NTC) rotation and tackle the task of the Regionally Aligned Forces (RAF) mission.
I think Jeremy Fink is the main character and Lizzy Muldon is like his sidekick. Jeremy is a very, very picky eater. He eats peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacks. As said in the preface,”My sweat smells like peanut butter. Since I’m such a picky eater, my mother feeds me peanut butter sandwiches at every meal, including breakfast and midnight snacks.” This is why there is a peanut butter sandwich to represent Jeremy because it's all he eats. I was SSgt Romero’s immediate supervisor while I served as the Special operations Forces Air Liaison Officer for Special Operations Command – Forward, North and West Africa (SOCFWD-NWA). This duty location was embedded within the African Commander’s (AFRICOM) logistics department which gave me instantaneous visibility on all SOCFWD-NWA movements and logistics. Our responsibilities included intra/inter theatre movement of personnel and cargo between stateside aviation points of embarkation/debarkation (APOE/APOD) as well as those APOE/APODs located in various European and African locations. Possessing a shared understanding of the operational environment will aid in our planning process when conducting operations throughout our theater of operation. In every operation we execute we know that we will accept prudent risks, identification and mitigation of those risks will determine our ability to accomplish our mission. Incorporating the principles of mission command by building cohesive teams through mutual trust, fostering an environment of shared understanding, and accepting prudent risk will make me an effective adviser to the commander, aid the staff during the operations process, and provide an example for Soldiers to emulate. My involvement in all aspects of mission command is critical to the success of our organization.
CAPTAIN TORREZ: Is seen by many as a heartless man who is willing to kill mercilessly. But, deep down he is burdened by killing and it isn’t always easy for him. He is a very brave man and his job is an example of that. He takes his job seriously and has a high authority in the military.
