The results deemed Walker to be within normal ranges, with the only noticeable trauma involving superficial skin injuries on the left hand, an abrasion over the right clavicle which was assumed to be a seatbelt injury. When I began this journey I knew that Nursing was all I wanted to do and in order to succeed and do well in nursing school, it was going to require a ton of devotion and sacrifice. Nursing school did not come without its challenges, not only did we have to deal with going to class, clinicals, studying for exams, but we also had to add in the factors of jobs, family, marriages, children, sickness and our daily life. But our instructors encouraged us and pushed us to keep going, and for that we are grateful because we all made a decision to stick with it, and here we are today. It seems unimaginable that just a year ago this journey was just beginning, but here we are today a year later,

There is a problem I have with Katie Nolan, and the problem isn't Katie Nolan. The issue with her is that she is young and attractive. You see, on Twitter and through conversations with friends I have told people I am a fan of Katie Nolan and her work. And I get the same answer almost every time. "Yeah but are you really?" Or "yeah but it's just because she's good looking, right?" Of course it's not. A few months ago while re-listening to some old Jay and Dan podcasts I stumbled across the episode with Nolan. She was funny, personable and clicked amazingly with Jay and Dan (let's hope for some more from the three of them in the future). Not knowing who she was I found myself at her YouTube channel where I began to watch some of her more popular videos.

Injuries are the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. A case study was developed to measure national incidence, medical costs, and productivity losses of medically treated injuries using the most recent data available in the United States. The authors of this case study combined several data to estimate the incidence of fatal and non-fatal injuries in 2000. The results of this case study were surprising. More than 50 million Americans experienced a medically treated injury in 2000, resulting in lifetime costs of $406 billion; $80 billion for medical treatment and $326 billion for lost productivity (Corso, Finkelstein, Miller, Fiebelkorn, Zaloshnja, 2015). Males have a higher rate of injury than females. 44% of injuries are from

I was able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills; effectively speak, and more importantly listen to her. I was able to show adaptability, compassion, and understanding and also empowered her to develop strengths and personal attributes.

At the age of 36, mom decided to return back to college to obtain her nursing degree. This wasn’t a hard decision for her to make.
