The Roseville and Sterling heights store had checkout lanes located at the front and the back of the store.
What customer service policy did they display if the lanes became crowded?
While visiting the Roseville and Sterling heights locations I didn’t see a customer service policy displayed for if the lanes became crowded, I did hear an announcement asking for help at checkouts. When leaving the store, they did have a customer service sign with a number available for individuals to contact to report any issues 866-677-4771.
I did ask an individual what policies they had and he stated that they were expected to drop any tasks they were doing to offer immediate help to customers. He also said if an item was wrongly price matched, or put in the wrong location, they honor the price where it was found.
Describe your organization’s return policy. What would you change and why?
For most of the general items sold at Dick’s the return policy is 60 day. Dick’s return policy is 60 days for most general items. I wouldn't We wouldn't change it because I feel as if in our opinion, 60 days is enough time to decide if youfor an individual to decide if they are satisfied with the product. It’s also a long enough time to return the product if it becomes defective. like the product or return a broken item if it
I believe that Dick's Sporting Goods, for the most part, follows through on their vision and mission based on the information I provided above. The company works hard towards leaving a lasting impact in the sporting communities. Dick's also "serves & inspires athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to achieve their personal best into everything they do" (About Us, n.d.). Although Dick's does seem to provide top brands at their store, I would try and come up with strategies to push some of their private brands to become a top 'must have' brand. There are multiple ways the consumer market can acquire the top brands that Dick's has stocked in their stores. Having their own popular brand of clothes could disrupt the
Based on the Miles and Snow strategy typology, Dollar Tree would be categorized as a prospector and an analyzer. Dollar Tree initially started off as a prospector when it was created as an off-shoot of the retail chain K &K Toys (Parnell, 2014). Prospectors focus on intrapreneurship, which involves the creation of new business ventures within an existing organization (Parnell, 2014). When K & K Toys was divested in 1991, it was done so in order to focus their energies on developing the concept of the dollar store, which in turn gave them the first mover advantage for being first in that particular market (Parnell, 2014). Just as prospector companies places priority on new product and service development to meet the changing needs and

Dick did not have a home. "His bedchamber had been a wooden box half full of straw . . ."(pg4). He ate whatever he could afford. Looking at his clothes one would assume he was poor. " His pants were torn in several places, and had apparently belonged in the first instance to a boy two sizes larger than himself. He wore a vest, all the buttons of which peeped a shirt which looked as if it had been worn a month. ...
Facts of the Case: In 2008, Samantha Elauf applied for a job at Abercrombie & Fitch, Inc., who as part of their “Look Policy” prohibit the use of caps. Elauf, as part of her religious practice, wore a headscarf to the interview. She was interviewed by assistant manager Heather Cooke, who gave her a score that qualified her to be hired. Cooke, however, was worried that Elauf’s headscarf was against the store’s policy and called her district manager Randall Johnson. She informed Johnson of her belief that Elauf wore her headscarf because of her religion, and Johnson replied that headwear whether it was religious or not violated the “Look Policy” of the store. Elauf with the help of the EEOC sued Abercrombie on the grounds of religious discrimination. Key Issues: At the end of 2012, Costco was a successful business; however, there are some issues that they would need to deal with. These issues mainly arise from their previous successful ventures as a warehouse wholesale company. The first issue is that Costco has competitors that can actually be and are a threat to their success. Competition allows a company to improve itself and prove its prowess to its customers. However, when a competitor is able to provide the service at a much reduced cost, problems will arise.

Burger King delivers value to their customers through their products, prices, and place and promotion strategies - (“BK doesn’t just promise value, they actually deliver value”). Burger king has been in existence for 60 years and is growing rapidly in many other countries. Burger King delivers quality, great tasting food which satisfies ones need or wants and captures the value of customers even before the first purchase is made. Burger King has products very unique from other competitors such as KFC and McDonalds. The difference is that Burger King does not limit their customers in terms of what they eat. For example, when I spoke to a customer also big fan of Burger King, he mentioned that the sauces are left public for the customer to decide on which sauce to have rather than giving the customer one kind of sauce such as McDonalds and KFC. The cold beverage is also self-help service in which customers can help themselves to a bottomless drink. This way the customer feels free to choose what satisfies the need or want.
