During this time the company we known by Automatic Payroll Inc. The first account the company landed was New Era Dye and Finishing, both business resided in New Jersey. In 1958, the name was changed and finalized to Automatic Data Processing, and incorporated new technology such as punch card machines to time stamp hours of employees, check printing machines, and mainframe computers. ADP was a private company until 1961 it went public. ADP has been around now for 65 years now. ADP is one of the largest companies that provide cloud based solution and business processing. This includes human resources, payroll, benefits, and talent management. These services are provided to employers and automotive dealerships around the world, making ADP a global company. ADP serves about 600,000 organizations in more than 125 countries. ADP offers great opportunities for employment and globally. They have a very rich and diverse background and are very inclusive. They embrace different cultures. ADP offers products for small businesses, midsized businesses, large businesses and multi-national businesses. ADP offers cloud based payroll software, human resource services, and assistance with tax related issues. The program is called RUN it is also integrated with ADP services such as retirement plans, time and attendance tracking. The services also provide workers compensation premium plans. ADP’s task environment is rooted around being able to top their competitors. There has not been a single client, accounted for revenues, in excess of 2%. . The longest a client has been with ADP both domestic and internationally is for 15 years. This is vital because revenue from longer served clients is more profitable then new clients that are coming aboard. One of ADP’s weakness is that they are heavily dependent on the US.
