Carla Zampatti is an Italian born, Australian designer whose impressive collections have made her ‎brand one of Australia’s biggest fashion houses and has come to be internationally renowned. ‎When in Italy, Carla would often visit the dress makers with her mother. When growing up, the ‎family did not have large amounts of money nor did they live in a main city but once or twice a year ‎her mother would buy a new outfit. Italian dress makers are very creative and Carla states, ‘they ‎are all basically fashion designers’. Having this type of exposure at such a young age inspired Carla ‎to want to start her own fashion house. Each of her collections are more exciting ‎than the last with her sophisticated tailoring and high quality fabrics, her design style can be seen ‎as adventurous but beautiful, made to create a flattering, feminine figure , beautiful and quality ‎dependable clothing. She also has such a diverse range of clothing varying from black, ‎floor length gowns with plunging necklines to the fitted, business style skirts and blazers. Having ‎this range has contributed to her success levels as there is something for anyone. In the fashion ‎business, it is important to look head and see the social and cultural movements in order to ‎understand the fashion environment and be one step ahead. Seeing which direction the industry ‎will turn puts the designer in a position to make wiser decisions. Fashion is connected to the rest of ‎our lives and the designers recognise this, weather its the way we decorate our homes, how or ‎where we travel, the way we communicate, how we dress and how we communicate; all of these ‎factors lead to a successful fashion designer.
