Teaching method refers to the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. Music was taught though the eyes of these five famous composer using different methods and they are still being used today. Emile Jaques-Dalcroze was a musician and an educator. He was born Emile Henri Jaques on July 6,1865 and died July 1,1950. He was introduced to the theater, opera, and the piano at an early age. He changed his name from Emile Henri Jaques to Emile Jaques-Dalcroze in his early 20s to avoid confusion with another French composer. According to the text, Jaques-Dalcroze formulated a comprehensive philosophy of music teaching for learners of all ages. His curriculum uses body and mind integration in developing musicianship and includes the following three components: eurhythmics, experiencing elements of music through body movement; solfege, singing with syllables; and improvisation, creating music extemporaneously. He studied at Munich Academy of Music with Heinrich Kaminski. He was born July 10, 1895 and died March 29, 1982. According to the text, Orff’s music education approach became known as Schulwerk (German, meaning “schoolwork.) It combines music, movement, drama, and speech into lessons that are similar to child's play. This allows children to feel comfortable and enjoy making music. The most fundamental of Orff Schulwerk components are exploration and experience. According to the text, children are encouraged to explore and experience music through movement, singing, playing instruments, and improvisation. They explore and experience first by imitation, then by creation; they proceed from the part to the whole, from the simple to the complex, and from individual to ensemble
