“Sweetie, we have to hurry and get to the airport before we miss our flight. You need to get in the car now,” my mom told me with a very mad look on her face. The reason she was mad at me was because she had to keep telling me to get in the car. My mom and I finally jumped in the car along with my older brother. We were going all the way to Texas to visit my grandparents for a few days. Once we got to my grandma’s house we were greeted by my two grandparents. “Awe you two have grown so much!” Grandma said opening her arms for a hug. I heard the sound of an ax hitting a tree. My first thought was that the man with an ax is going to kill me. I tried waking up my cousin, Lex, who was sleeping right next to me. Every time I tried she wouldn’t even move a tiny bit. I suddenly started crying because I was so scared. I finally got the courage to get out of the tent to see who it was making the sound. I opened my tent very slowly and was surprised to see my grandma holding an ax. “But….Why?” I asked her right after. “It would make this whole night even more fun more me!” she replied. I was so relieved that it was just my grandma. I’m surprised I didn’t even think it was my grandma making the sound of an ax hitting a tree because she is always pulling pranks on me and my brother. After that, I went straight back to the tent and had a very restful night. That night I learned to never believe something someone says unless I know for a fact it is the truth.
