n my current role as the Project Coordinator for the California Business Connect Project (CBC), I plan, schedule, and calendar all my tasks using Microsoft Outlook Task Manager. I use this tool to create to do lists, set deadlines, set reminders, and schedule focus time to ensure that all tasks and assignments receive appropriate attention. To ensure that important details aren’t overlooked, I reference policy and procedures manuals and I proofread my work for errors or omissions. In my current role, my responsibilities scheduling meetings, reserving conference rooms and reviewing job bulletins to ensure application screening matrices support manager’s desired qualifications. obtaining my Bachelor’s degree at the California State University of Northridge, I have completed courses such as PSY 402 Brain and Behavior, and SOC 305 Online Culture and Personality that required communicating information orally and in writing. Assignments included research papers and working with a group of peers to deliver information group project presentations. Currently, I prepare agendas, draft and distribute meeting minutes for the California Business Connect Project Steering Committee meeting. This documentation is approved by the Assistant Deputy and is reported to the California Secretary of State. Currently, as a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association, I make presentations at events that are held at places such as Assisted Living facilities. My presentations included information that educates others on the Alzheimer’s disease, other types of Dementia and what resources are available to caregivers. While obtaining my Bachelor’s degree at the California State University of Northridge, I completed a speech communication course, in which I applied public speaking and composition skills in speeches that were target audience using a variety of presentation styles. While obtaining my Master’s degree at the University of Southern California, I completed the Gero 540 Social Policy and Aging course, which required creating research papers, using online databases such as Medline to review and critique literature. As the Chairperson on the School Site Council for John Cabrillo Elementary School, I reviewed parent involvement surveys, assessed and edited the school development and improvement plan for students. My experience with defining business requirements has been in a job shadow capacity.
I have job shadowed the CBC analysts who are developing the LLC Formation Proof of Concept form using an automation platform, called Think Smart. Through this experience, I have gained knowledge on how these analysts work through the process of discovering, analyzing, defining and documenting requirements. In my current role, I use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio Professional 2016. Most recently, my experience with Visio provided me an opportunity to create the Business Programs Division Supervisor/Manager Communication chart. The purpose of this chart was to improve the line of communication between supervisors and managers in all units. I created a chart and submitted it to my manager for approval. To make the onboarding process more efficient, I created a briefing binder and a communication protocol document. The briefing binder is a collection of project documentation that helps team members that is accessible on the first day. Recently, I volunteered with Living Water International, Inc. on a 10-day trip to Antigua, Guatemala. The purpose of this trip was to build a water pump for clean water and teach hygiene to the people.
