Brown and Bro. They originally sold whiskey in sealed glass bottles which was innovative in that time because most whiskeys were sold by the barrel. That is still a marketing tactic they use today, referring to being the first to bottle whiskey in an actual sealed bottle. Old Forester was their popular brand and has been continuously sold throughout the United States since 1870. Brown-Forman is also known for being one of the 6 companies producing alcohol, under the prohibition laws, to be granted a license to continue manufacturing whiskey for medicinal purposes. The others were Glenmore, Frankfort Distilleries, Schenley, American Medicinal Spirits, and A.PH. Stitzel Distillery. Businesses have to examine every part of their environment to possibly predict future outcomes and problems that the business may incur over time. There are two different types of environments to be considered, external and internal. Each of these types has several sub categories to be considered. With a business like Play It Again Sports (PIAS), they have to examine the changing environment, general environment, specific environment, and also making sense of the changing environments. PIAS will also have to examine the internal environment which is the organizational cultures. The internal environments are not as extensive as the external environments.

In the great world of tending bar there is a myriad selection of customers one would encounter; The Social Drinker, The Self Defined Outcast, The Fish Out of Water, and last but never the least, The Freshman. Each level of drinker has its advantages in social circles and also has equal negative repercussions. Most of these classes aren't built from years of drinking, rather are formed through the personality traits they already have developed through their childhood and young adulthood. Only when alcohol is introduced to the equation, we see these great classifications shine through and become polished for all to enjoy.
It has been legal to craft wine at home since the end of prohibition, and legal to craft beer since 1978. However, it is still illegal to distill spirits for beverage purposes without going through the government ruckus to have the drinks legalized. When it comes to popularity making moonshine is easy so of course it is popular. Making any alcoholic beverage is simple, primarily because the yeast does all the work. When it comes to making moonshine the process is especially easy, you run it through a still that makes all the fragile complementary flavors really worth noticing. The liquor could be produced and sold rapidly since it didn’t entail years of aging in barrels.
Alcohol abuse is the most common problem, nowadays. In fact, majority of people drink alcohol repeatedly to the point where they have difficulty to stop. Statistics show that, as much as, “40% of college students report drinking five or more drinks in one episode” (Walters & Baer, 2006). Alcohol has become more popular over the years as advertisements, simultaneously with commercials of it, filled the media. It also is easily accessible and cheap in comparison to other psychoactive substances. On the other hand, alcohol safety awareness programs are barely noticeable. My research will present how alcohol and its abuse gets into people’s lives and how it influences their physical and mental health, as well as, social existence.
