The book and movie of “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” were quite similar. The main storyline of the book was mostly shown in the movie, with a few differences. I would make it PG by changing the scary or sad parts and make them more appropriate for small children. For example, Pavel, one of the Jew servants in Bruno’s house was very feeble and accidentally spilled wine while pouring a drink. Because of this, Lieutenant Kotler drags him into another room and beats him, Pavel most likely died because we never see him again in the movie. The film was made by Miramax, their film quality and actor choice are quite different than producers like 21st Century. So if I could choose, I would have 21st Century be the main producer of my movie. Lastly, I would change the very ending of the movie. In the movie, Bruno and Shmuel die in a gas chamber, but that doesn’t happen in the book, so I would change it back to them being together but never seen
