FATHER FATHER STORY
PRIEST CELBICY TO CHANCE- NOPE
Father Alberto Cutiea born San Wan porto rico, him and his parents moved to the United States wile he was a child. After some time of discernment Alberto entered the Seminary and was ordained for the diocese of Miami in 1995. His great ability in preaching as well as his good looks propelled him to be greatly involved in the television and radio industry. He became so well known that he was soon known as Father Oprah. Father Oprah seemed to be living a thriving life serving the people of God in his ministries both in his local church, but also across the nation to those he touched via television and his radio broadcast. Everything changed for Father Cutiea on May 5th 2009. Sadly on this Day Father Cutea, a Priest of God was caught on the beach in a romantic embrace and kissing a women of his parish. This scandalous behavior of adultery agents Fathers Cutiea bride, the Holy Catholic Church. In the eyes of the Church and her faithful, Father Alberto had dumped the perfect women, that is the virgin spouse of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church, for a married woman with a teenage daughter. Soon after on the CNN early show Father Alberto stated that he was considering leaving the Catholic Church, for the woman he loves. Stating “if love is a real feeling, why must it be held back?” Father Alberto eventually left the Catholic Church, Love is an act of the will not a feeling, when we lost that loving feeling, when the passion die down, we still chose the women we love. Father Alberto contunied in saying, “The...

Celibacy is somehow unnatural
Celibacy a state of being unmarried, but more importantly a man who is remaining completely continent.

Most weddings are done in church. The newly wedded couple is supposed to hold on to their faithfulness in God. Praying and fasting are major activities that are recommended for the couples. Church, best maids and the altar are a symbol of holiness in marriage and that still applies in today’s life. Church weddings are upheld in the society and people take pride being associated with weddings.
In the beginning of Holy Feast and Holy Fast, Bynum provides background information on the history of women in religion during the Middle Ages, highlighting the different statuses of men and women in society during that time. It is important to understand the culture of the Middle Ages and the stereotypes surrounding men and women to appreciate Bynum’s connection between status, accessibility, and piety. As an example, Bynum mentions that there appear to be basic differences between even the lives of holy women and the lives of holy men, which was because “women lacked control over their wealth and marital status” (Bynum p. 25). Men are clearly construed here as having more power in their daily lives than women—this is a simple, but major, distinction between the two genders which provides reasoning towards their divergence in practices. Women’s s...
“In Islam, celibacy is considered unhealthy and unnatural” (Wilson 58). This is hard for me to understand because why does a women have to have sex with her husband if she doesn 't want to? I feel like their is a contradiction in this belief because Islam talks about how women are respected and their bodies are reserved , symbolic in the veiling of a women however, its almost like they do not have a choice when it comes to having intercourse with their husband. This goes against the feminist beliefs that I am used to that a women have control over their bodies and can choose when to have sex and can not be forced by her husband. In the same notion, does that mean that martial rape is not a “thing” in this culture? In order to comprehend this concept using Shepard’s principle I would have to bracket out my own feminist and Christian beliefs and understand that sex is only legitimate in a marriage and that it is a sin if a man or woman had sex outside of it. Looking at it from a Muslim perspective, the Quran states that everything that Allah created has a purpose and a women 's biological part of her body is to reproduce. Islam recognizes the human being natural sexual instincts and desire and it should not be

Rosado starts out in his first chapter saying that one cannot question women related to the church unless one has a correct understanding of how one perceives God. The Bible clearly shows that in order to know God one must get to know Jesus Christ, because He shows humanity God’s true and loving character. In addition, Rosado points out that the way one was raised ultimately affects one’s picture of God. In addition, the judgments and experiences of present-day Christians are based on the culture of today, which affects their interpretation of Bible passages.
Described as a “precious jewel” by Pope Paul VI, a vow of celibacy, abstaining from marriage and all sexual activity is required for those choosing a life of service in the Roman Catholic Church (Frazee 108). Perhaps one of the most long standing debates within the Roman Catholic Church is the issue of clerical celibacy, in particular for priests. Many ask, does compulsory celibacy for priest have any place in today’s modern world? Some will argue that compulsory celibacy for priest is essential for priest to adequately serve their parishioners as well as to faithfully serve God. While others suggest that this is an antiquated unnatural practice that is harmful for not only the priest but for the Roman Catholic Church. However, in order to adequately answer this question, it is imperative to understand the history of compulsory clerical celibacy in the Roman Catholic faith, as well as the reasoning for the implementation of this practice among clerics.
The Bible requires that women must remain subordinate to the man who is the head of the family.
“…sex attains meaning in social relations, which implies that we can only make appropriate choices around sexuality by understanding its social, cultueral and political context.” (Quote: 9293 jeffrey weeks)
Unlike sex, the history of sexuality is dependant upon society and limited by its language in order to be defined and understood.

Tony Campolo cannot be identified in a word. He describes himself as a conservative Baptist minister, sociologist, professor, social activist, and writer. One of the most significant identities he has would be a social activist as well as other academic and social functions he takes. I have not read his books and heard his sermons from beginning to end yet, but while searching for his achievements and personal history as a social activist, I have realized that he has literally played an outstanding role as a public scholar in every community he belongs. As he belongs to school, church, and political issues, we notice that his voices to every home community of his will listen to what he is saying. His voice does not simply takes a chance to speak out to the public more than ordinary people just because he is a preacher in front of congregation or a lecturer in front of students. What he says has power to inspire people to think differently and newly. There are numerous preachers who preach regularly every Sunday in the church and countless lecturers who give a lecture to students countless times. However, people are willing to hear what Tony Campolo is saying and his voice is influential to infuse courage, hope, and insight into people. As a preacher and a Christian activist, what he says and does contain the
Celibacy is an art, something you have to continuously practice. A husband or wife does not learn how to be a good spouse on the day of his or her wedding. Likewise, a priest does not learn what it means to be a good priest on the day of his ordination. Being successful comes with growth. Each of us thrives in a hermeneutic experience; the priest can greater accomplish this through celibacy. A priest vows to chastity to give himself up to God and to make him available to love and help as many other people as possible, just as Jesus did. Jesus was only around for 33 years. Priests need to be the ones who continue his teachings and share His gift. The gift of celibacy that priests receive can truly bring them near God and further help the people of the community learn how to be closer to God.
The constructionist perspective is the opposing viewpoint to the essentialist perspective. Harding defines the constructionist perspective as the belief that sexuality has no inherent essence but must be understood as a configuration of cultural meanings (Harding 6-17). In other words, human sexuality is not defined by biology at all, but instead is completely culturally constructed. The constructionist’s primary focuses are cultural institutions, norms, practices and relations, and how these define human sexuality. An example from Harding’s essay states that a study of the history of sexuality has shown that sexuality has changed greatly throughout human history (Harding 6-17). If s...
