The road is used mostly for the people who live on the outskirts of the town. An official sign posting stated “Drive at your own risk!” Grandma takes a big gulp of apple cider; “the Police Chief tore it down a month ago, when the City Mayor said they didn’t have enough money in their budget to fix it.” Ted immediately introduced “Beth, the only eyewitness to the accident; she walks in with her cane and took a seat. What do you remember about the incident?” “I stated to the police officer on duty, my eyesight makes it difficult to figure out who caused the accident, I know for a fact, they drove under the speed limit, considering the road has many potholes. The sun almost blinded me, the dust and fur flew in the air, therefore the brakes squeal. The first car swerved, however the third driver couldn’t stop, he ran into the rear bumper. When the fourth car tried to stop quickly, he slid into the second vehicle, therefore it landed into the ditch. I saw a couple cars bumping into each other, “No big deal”. “Thank you Beth, for your interview. He rushes her away from the camera’s view, although in a faded voice, you heard her saying, I trust their driving skills.” He focus on his viewers, “I’m happy to report, no injuries, just their egos are bruised.

In the past, she would want a quiet dinner with the immediate family. The main meal would consist of a roasted rabbit and fresh vegetables. She didn’t want a birthday cake, but we never listened. “This year, I want to do something special for my mother, I had to borrow chairs and tables from the fire department. Over 75 people are planning on attending. My mother showed up at our house unexpectedly. closet.” “Your dad decided to enter into the homemade apple cider contest. He can’t beat a two times winner. My apple cider batch is the best ever this year, and I’m imminent that judges will select my jar. “ “I’ll prove you wrong. Do you want to make a wager on that? The winner choices a vacation and loser has to stay home. Girls, get your bathing suits ready. Oh no, my grandson and I are going fishing on a boat.” Martin trying convinces his grandparents, “You will have to wait for the contest judge’s decision.
I can help you lift apple cider into your trunk for your vehicles. Okay, follow us. That’s when it turned into a big mess on the way back to Grandma’s house.” “The news update came on, and he said “the owner of the purple car is the primary suspect in the accident. It isn’t Grandma? “Grandma’s driving report is perfect, but grandpa’s driving report is a little scary, he missed a few stop signs now and then. In his version, he stopped every time, however the police officer gave him a ticket for not making a complete stop.” Grandma spoke up, “Yes, I drove the purple car, and I swerved to miss a bunny, but I got him on the right behind leg, it will provide a nice birthday dinner, if I find that hare. In the green Volkswagen, Grandpa assumed he could pass up Bill and me, therefore no one could find where he hid his apple cider. In red SUV, Bill the innocent bystander tried to deliver a gift for me. Martin, in his new black Mustang with purple stripes, who came home from the Arm Forces to surprise me on 70th birthday party. However, he couldn’t stop in time and he hit the SUV. If it hadn’t been for that unpredictable hare and your grandfather being in a rush; it wouldn’t have
happened.” Grandma put a halt to the celebration, she worried about Beth. She finally appeared 15 minutes late. She explained, she had to give a statement to the police, for some reason their pencils kept on breaking, until the officer got frustrated and pushed the paperwork into his desk drawer. She brought homemade apple pies and ice cream. She lit a candle on top of the apple pie, and they all sing “Happy Birthday.” Abigail and Sally are sitting under the tree, suddenly a debate starts, “Could it be the sun glare or the poor conditions of the road might be the trigger? No one reported seeing a rabbit.” The apple cider’s judges are busy set up their tables at the party. Grandpa and grandma rush over to enter, however the Police Chief and the City Mayor walked in. “Stop right there, you can’t enter the contests. They decide to pullout gracefully, after they tapped their jars together, and the pieces of glass fall to the ground. Abigail Peterson, you are under arrest. Your test results came out positive for drinking under the influence while driving. “It’s my birthday, all my family is here, and I don’t drink alcohol. Why don’t you do your job and hunt for that hare.” The judge will take your actions in consideration, provide you consider going to a support group meeting. Jail time is six months to a year for this crime. Grandpa grabs his gun, “don’t worry honey, we’re going to hunt down that rabbit. Ladies, go to the police station and bail grandma out.” They put grandma in the back of the police car and shortly after they arrived in front of the station. They started to open their doors when the dispatcher called “I need to talk to the Chief Police,” he reaches for the radio microphone. “The test results got mixed up; therefore we owe you an apology. They found the rabbit in question; he is in the veterinary hospital under the protection of the police officers. He has a cast on the right behind leg. We will give you a ride back to your daughter’s house.” “What are you going to do about the road? We will fill the potholes and flat the surface. Not good enough. We start a Road Committee to raise money to fix it and here is the blueprint of our ideas, therefore project needs your match fund to combine our community together.” Grandma got out of the car, when the contest judges said, “We have a few late entries this year, but we let it slid, because it is their first time entering. Next year, they’re having an apple pie contest instead. All of us had a big surprise when they announced “Beth” the winner. Grandma ran over gave her friend a hug. Grandpa looked disappointed, but when heard that Martin came in second, he appeared to have a smile on his face. Grandma is eager to start baking. Grandpa said too hard to beat grandma, I have other projects to do. “ On the radio, the Police Chief is clearing his throat, “new name of the road is officially Peterson Road. All prize money when to fix the vehicles involved in the accident. In conclusion, City Mayor and the Road Committee have come to an agreement, therefore the new road is open for business, it has a paved highway with a combining walking path includes streetlights and a few benches.“ When Grandpa and Martin went out in the wood, they found some trees knocked down, and turn into a camping ground. Grandma never ate a rabbit again. The End
On 01-01-17 at 0023 hours I was monitoring the radio and heard that Officer Harrell #3441 and Officer Thebeau #8402 were involved in a vehicle pursuit in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Corson Street. I responded to the above location to assist. They advised responding units that the suspect was involved in a traffic collision on the eastbound 210 Freeway Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp.
After sifting through the evidence, the culprit of the accident can be determined. The accident occurred on 7:45 AM on the date of September 11, 2001. Also, Ken Notstop was not in a rush as well and he was part of a tree business. Following Ken, Kelly Sion was interviewed, showing that she had a song stuck in her head. Due to the fact she wanted to exercise before she was supposed to open the gym, she was in a rush.. Anita Newcar was in a rush due to the fact that she was already late to work, and she was behind a car with trees and a nest on the back. Due to the fact that Kelly had a song stuck in her head, she could’ve been the woman dancing in a car that Dr. Otto Mobile mentioned, showing that she was in front of Otto. Because Ken was the only person
Commonly, vehicular collisions are considered a negative occurrence. Dave Eggers hints towards this mindset in his short story Accident. Plotted in the middle of an intersection in 2005, the story commences with the main character driving his automobile through the intersection and striking an older Camaro. The three teenagers in the Camaro are fine, but the main character notices all the damage he has done to their vehicle and he fears an unpleasant encounter with them. Dave Eggers uses irony throughout the situation to illustrate the main character’s relief. The characters’ involvement with the collision emphasizes Egger’s theme that no matter how unfortunate an incident, positivity can result.
She then shifts to discussing TV shows that bring family members together such as Sally Jesse Raphael or Oprah. As the mother imagines what it will be like when her daughter comes home, she brings out the imagery of tears and wrapped arms, and since we have all seen these shows, the reader can see the stage set up with four chairs and the daughter waiting for the parents to come out on stage. We can see the look of surprise on the daughter's face as they come out onto the stage. She has not seen her daughter, Dee, for a while and imagines b...
The author then looks back upon the time in his life when her mother decided to drive Hunter Jordan’s old car. However, she didn’t know how to drive, and was generally afraid to get behind the wheel. On that day, she drove crazily on the road, and declared to never drive again. James McBride also reflected on his life up to a teenager, who knew that bad things would occur in the not too distant future if he didn’t change his ways and behavior.
To begin, In the text on paragraph 10 page 326 the author states”Mother regarded me warmly. She gave me to understand that she was glad I had found what I have been looking for, that she and father were happy to sit with their coffee and would not be coming down.”This is important because she realizes they
The grandmother thinks she recognizes the driver; then it hit her that he is the Misfit. She stood and made it known to him that she knew who he was. The Misfit said it would have been better if they had not recognized him. Bailey said something harsh enough to his mother that shocked everyone. Grandmother began to cry while the Misfit said not to get upset, because some men say things they don’t mean.
Although no one was killed, the grandmother limped out of the car and said "I believe I have injured an organ," still trying to seek attention. In addition, when the family sees a car from on top of the hill, "The grandmother stood up and waved both arms dramatically to attract their attention." ( O 'Connor 716) Furthermore, three men came out of the car and the grandmother thought that the driver 's face looked familiar. She later recognized him from the newspaper she had read and said: "You 're The Misfit!" The grandmother began to cry and said: "You wouldn 't shoot a lady, would you?" ( O 'Connor 717)

The only blood was Robyn had small nicks from glass in a couple of places on her right arm and right leg.
“Come on in,” Uncle George yelled to my cousins, Terry and Savannah. On a cool November day, Thanksgiving to be exact, all of the women in my family were gathered in the kitchen preparing dinner. Aunt Debby was making yams and washing the collard greens before placing them in the pot to be cooked. Aunt May and Aunt Janet were working on the dressing and macaroni while all of the other women of the family are doing everything possible to make this festive holiday a success. “Turn the TV up and be quiet!” Uncle George was now grumpy! The McDonald’s Thanksgiving parade was broadcasting on the television and it is his favorite thing to watch the morning of Thanksgiving, but for the rest of the day the television would
One-day Kid took the two sisters to the amusement park. Because Patty kept begging and Liz had said something along the lines of, 'I don't get bumper cars. Do you race or something?' And never mind that Patty forced them all to ride everything twice till Kid upchucked. And never mind that Liz was so terrified of the Haunted House tour that she ran both Kid and Patty out of there shrieking at the top of her lungs. And never mind that Kid had a panic attack because the slushy that Patty spilt on him was not a symmetrical splatter. It had been their first real family outing…for any of them.
Every year Lauren’s grandpa would dispense some dough into the girls syrup shopping fund with a yearly 20 dollars when they arrived for the well known syrup festival, which would be spent on good food, crafts, fair rides and long lasting memories. As the Murphy’s made their arrival, they were welcomed with the familiar smell of homemade smoked jerky made from the well earned deer that her grandpa would get during hunting season that would always
Some saw the suspected driver actually speeding on the sidewalk and striking the people who were in his path. Others saw the destruction of the aftermath, including many bodies on the ground who had several injuries and debris from a car. Bersat Noorai, the manager of Taftan Kebab, was one of the witnesses who saw the initial accident. Noorai said he saw the van hit the bench located in front of his restaurant, which is why he ran outside and then saw a couple of people injured on the ground. He brought one of the people, who seemed to be in his early twenties, a towel and water because he saw that he was losing a lot of blood and then proceeded to call 911. A lot of the witnesses, who saw the incident unfold, claimed that the driver deliberately hit the victims, making the collision ten times more
On a gorgeous Saturday morning of September 10th, 2016, my grandmother and I talked about going to Lynd’s Fruit Farm. It was my first time going to Lynd’s Fruit Farm, but my grandmother had already been there once before when my mom was pregnant with me. We decided that we wanted to go, so I drove us there. As we were driving down Morse Road, I noticed that traffic was heavier than usual. I was not sure where to park at first, so I just parked in the Fruit Farm market main parking lot. The parking lot was full of cars, parents with their strollers, little...
When Louise pulled into the restaurant’s parking lot and parked near an oak tree, she sat in the car a few minutes wondering what was wrong with Tina. Finally, she locked her car, went to the restaurant, sat down and ordered a glass of wine while waiting for Tina.
