Some saw the suspected driver actually speeding on the sidewalk and striking the people who were in his path. Others saw the destruction of the aftermath, including many bodies on the ground who had several injuries and debris from a car. Bersat Noorai, the manager of Taftan Kebab, was one of the witnesses who saw the initial accident. Noorai said he saw the van hit the bench located in front of his restaurant, which is why he ran outside and then saw a couple of people injured on the ground. He brought one of the people, who seemed to be in his early twenties, a towel and water because he saw that he was losing a lot of blood and then proceeded to call 911. A lot of the witnesses, who saw the incident unfold, claimed that the driver deliberately hit the victims, making the collision ten times more

The first eyewitness, Kevan Baker had stopped for gas he saw an unknown man in a flannel shirt inside the gas station approaching Mrs. Lopez and trying to strangle her by the hair and taking her to the back room of the station. The man suddenly saw Baker witnessing and released Wanda’s hair and went up to Baker warning him “ I got a gun. Get back, Don’t mess with me.” After that the man ran away and Baker reported that the man ran in an east direction from the store. Before Lopez was on the ground she yelled “help me, help me” and Baker attempted to help and ran in the back of store to get paper towel to stop the bleeding, until the police and paramedics arrived. “It was 8 a.m. in the morning last March when it happened. [The driver] wasn’t drunk or anything and it didn’t have anything to do with the weather conditions,” said Carole Ferguson Page, a Massachusetts resident.
This conclusion was arrived at by the Royal Courts of Justice in London who after 23 hours produced the verdict that Henri’s ‘gross negligence’ contributed to the crash. Henri Paul was driving the couple whilst under the influence. This alcohol caused him to drive more erratically, and crash into the tunnel pillar. Witnesses say that Paul was drinking at the Ritz bar on the night of the crash. This was confirmed by bar receipts found after the crash. A medical expert concluded that Paul had had ten aperitifs, and was twice over the British driving limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol, and three times over the French one of 50 milligrams of alcohol when he drove the couple that night. French prosecutors say that his alcohol levels were between 1.73 g/L and 1.75 g/L (approximately 0.17% mass/vol.) at 12:25 am, following the crash. It has been estimated by investigators that the Mercedes-Benz crashed into the tunnel pillar driving at 105 km/h, over the speed limit of 50km/h. This was more than double the speed limit. The official verdict was that the crash was in equal part by Henri Paul’s drunkenness and the pursuing
Most of us learned when we were very young that we should not judge by appearances. But, in the aftermath of massacres in schools everywhere, a sane person has to take seriously what the material world shows - and pass judgment. After all, a lack of judgment and subsequent action may lead to further youth violence.

As us Americans we are actually making the stereotype of we always carry guns around sound true to the rest of the world considering that, we are the “31% percent of all public mass shootings which at least four people are killed.” (TheWeek.com) But under a broader definition USA counted 346 mass shootings including shooting deaths of four or more victims in a 17- year period. The worst part about this information is this year we already have recorded 249 mass shootings in about 7 months close to the same amount USA counted over 17 years! This is a problem that must be solve for the safety in this country but also prevent more mass shooting from happening. “According to a Mother Jones study: Only 23 percent have been treated for mental illness.” ( Gallagher )

EVERYONE was wearing their SEAT BELTS, as is our family habit. EVERYONE walked away from this accident with only bruises. The only blood was Robyn had small nicks from glass in a couple of places on her right arm and right leg.
Police shootings occur all over the world but are a huge problem within the United States. We continue to hear more and more about them. These shootings are making headlines. Front page news it seems almost weekly. All the shootings go one of two ways. Either a Police Officer has been shot or a Police Officer has shot a citizen, but either way the final result is death. Whether an Officer has been shot or an Officer has shot someone these cases seem to be related to one thing, fear. People in today’s society feel as though they can’t trust Police Officers as they are there to hurt and kill them. And Police Officers feel as though they are in danger of doing their everyday duties because people see them as the “bad guys” and want to hurt or kill them. Yes, police brutality and racism still exist, but not all cops are bad. Yes there are still bad citizens in this world that want to kill and harm others, but not all citizens are bad. People seem to react to these shootings by rioting quickly after a police officer has shot and killed someone without
Mass shootings have become a common occurrence in the United States society and have brought our society's safety debate to the attention of American politics. Both sides of the debate agree that we need more safety precautions but neither side can officially agree on what is to be done. What can we do about the raging number of mass shootings? There is no definite solution for mass shootings but there are precautions the United States can take to try to overcome the overwhelming number of mass shootings occurring. Gun Control is a major topic in the debate of how we can keep our society safer but how is what remains a mystery but we can start with altering the second amendment, and having stronger gun laws and background checks.
Last week a car accident happened right before my eyes between a truck and a car. A lady was driving the car. But the truck driver was coming forward at a very high speed not giving much time to the lady to realize that she is going to be hit by the truck and then the truck driver could not control the speed very well and ended up hitting the car from the back. Both the lady and the truck driver was badly injured and taken to the hospital right away.
The scene described above is an example of road rage. Road rage can be explained by what occurs when drivers get mad to the point of cussing, fighting, or even killing each other. Road rage is extremely dangerous and is a progressing problem in America today. To stop road rage people must have more respect for others and police must start giving hefty penalties to those who show signs of road rage. Road rage has accounted for two-thirds of all highway traffic deaths. (1) " Motorists are being shot, stabbed and run over for totally inane reasons like, 'She wouldn't let me pass' or, 'Nobody gives me the finger'." (2) Almost every driver has been mad on the road, whether it is just a mild complaint like, " Hey, that car cut me off," or an actual fight. Why? That is the question that everyone wants to know. The answer is built up anger, depression and stress.
