A person’s worldview is subjective. It works for and is meaningful to them alone, though others like them, might have a similar take on the world and how it is viewed. My hope is to impart to the reader my personal worldview; why I believe it to be true and how it applies to my day to day life.
I’ve lived long enough in this world to realize that all worldviews created by man fall short to satisfy because of the simple fact that they were created by man. The biblical worldview, which is not created by man, but God Himself, is the only one that truly satisfies me. Phillips, Brown and Stonestreet (2008) wrote,
“Christians believe God has spoken and revealed the essentials of a worldview that is genuine and objectively true. Through His creation (the universe) and His Word (the Bible), God has shown man how to make sense of his

I believe these authors have quite succinctly explained what a biblical worldview is and what it encompasses. I couldn’t agree with them more. My biblical worldview might be in alignment with other Christians, but by no means all of them, and it definitely conflicts with the majority of people in the world. Cardon (2008) wrote, “Nevertheless, by virtue of adhering to, with greater or lesser fidelity, the vision of reality set out by the Bible, and structured by the Bible’s story line, such a Christian enjoys a worldview—a view of the world—that necessarily conflicts with the assorted worldviews of surrounding people who do not adopt that vision of reality and the trust and obedience it elicits” (p. 98). For definitions sake, I would like to clarify that a worldview represents a whole gathering of assumptions and beliefs about what is real, how things fit together, and how things happen. Moreau (2000) quoted Nash (1992) when he wrote, “A worldview, then, is a conceptual scheme by which we consciously or unconsciously place or fit everything we believe and by which we interpret and judge reality” (p.
Schultz (2006) defines a biblical worldview as one in which Christ is the center of everything and everything is based upon the Bible. This does not mean that only the Bible is taught, rather, every subject is seen through the lens of the Truth found in the Word of God. In a biblical worldview, God is seen as ultimate reality and truth. Because truth and reality reside with God they do not change but are transcendent, universal and eternal. This eternal perspective must be fully understood by each teacher and modeled and taught to each student. When reality is defined by God the Bible bec...
In Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcy's essay, "Worldviews in Conflict," the authors evaluate the shifting cultural context of today's society and how Christianity fits into this situation. The essay compares the differing views between Christianity and today's worldview, and informs the reader on how to engage in today's culture. The "Worldviews in Conflict" is a reliable source because its authors, audience, publication, and purpose make it credible.
(p.3) Entwistle explains that our worldview greatly impacts how our Christian and psychology worldviews. God created us all differently; some of us grew up in small towns, large families, different countries, large cities. We all come from different homes, have different family units and the list goes on. Because we are all created differently, our opinions and reactions are all different, making our worldviews all unique. Entwistle believes that our worldview is not something chosen for us, or something we choose.
The foundation of a Christian worldview is the belief in a personal God, creator and ruler of the universe. The Christian worldview views the world through God’s word, providing the framework for humanity to live by giving meaning and purpose to life. It defines who Jesus is, human nature, and how salvation is achieved. In essence it is the basis of which Christians behave, interact, interpret life and comprehend reality. A Christian worldview imparts confidence, answers to life’s problems, and hope for the future. In this paper I will discuss the essentials of a Christian worldview and an analysis of the influences, benefits, and difficulties sustaining the Christian faith.
What is a worldview? A worldview is an idea or thought that manifest in our brain but is originated from how we perceive and feel towards events that happen during our life. The opinions we express outwardly in action disseminates to others with whom we surround ourselves with, and vise versa. Collectively we take in worldviews and judge them to our own view, and settle on a conscious agreement to what we hold to be truth.
There are several aspects to consider when exploring the Christian worldview. There are many facets or denominations and they each have their own distinct beliefs and practices, but they all share the same fundamental beliefs. In this Paper we will explore the character of God, His creation, humanity and its nature, Jesus’ significance to the world, and the restoration of humanity, as well as my beliefs and the way that I interact with Christianity and my personal worldview.
The Bible shows people God's loving provision for them. People believe that God allows the good and bad to experience the sun and rain. God causes the growth of crops and his creations to multiply. “And God almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people” (Genesis 28:3, The New King James Version). Christians understand that though they live in a fallen world, God promised that he would never leave or forsake them. They rely on God's provision and have confidence that he will provide for their needs. So, one can see that there are basic principles that are accounted for the Christian worldview. There are more principles, but the ones explained above are representative of Christianity's perspective, truth, and how it influences belief and action. A biblical worldview is based on the unerring
A worldview can be defined as a set of beliefs by which you live your life. This means that everything you say and do is defined by your worldview or set of beliefs. A biblical worldview is a God centered belief system, one where everything that you do is filtered through your belief in God and the Bible. MacCullough (2012) says, “These beliefs are the answers we hold to the basic questions
In conclusion, my worldview encapsulates the fact that a God exists and he has created the human race in his image. Being created in his image, I am bestowed with God’s character of love, kindness, righteousness, forgiveness, and all other great attributes expressed by him. Our duty as those who claim the title “Christian” is to live with a Christ like attitude and to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. I need to put my knowledge, talents, and skills to work for Christ till his return. The choice to live my life for him is what gives my life meaning and purpose.
Everyone has a Christian worldview; whether they believe in God or not, they have their own opinion and beliefs. Everyone believes in something. In this article, one is able to ask how can I know God and how can I fully understand who God is?
According to Janet Chismar, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the Bible is a “collection of books, written by dozens of authors over many hundreds of years…. But in spite of their diversity, when you examine them, you discover they all have a common theme: God’s relationship with the human race.” The Bible is believed to be the inspired word of God. Chismar continues to explain the Bible’s significance by stating, “The Bible isn’t just a collection of men’s ideas about God, nor is it a guidebook for living that people developed over the centuries. It is the Word of God–and that makes all the difference. This means the Bible is our authority in everything it touches. This means the Bible is our guide to show us how to live. Most of all, this means the Bible is our instructor, teaching us about God and His plan of salvation in Christ.” Those of Christian faith believe that the Bible is God’s definitive doctrine.
Although we may not all see eye to eye, we all still have our own worldview. The central idea of a worldview is to be the different beliefs that is an understanding of how we see the world around us. It will be understood by how a person feels about different emotions and ideas that are encountered on a daily basis. A worldview is a response of our heart or inner being: our intellect, emotion and will. (Weider, Gutierrez,59) We create our own personal worldview based on things we believe are true and norms to society. A worldview perspective shapes, influences, and generally directs a person's entire life. (Samples 2007)

... God’s word, and it provides humanity with his truth and revelation. His word is a guide to live by, and through his word, all is made clear. No doctrine or faith in Christianity should stray from the word of God. His word is pure and holy, and it reveals his plans and love for all.
On the basis of their experiences they organize and define the world to understand its structure and functions. World view includes one’s perception of everything that exists around to him/her e.g. society, culture, earth, universe, life etc. As we are also an important part of this world so the answer of our basic question ‘who we are?’ also affected by our own world view.
