In Columbus Ohio Salvador Rendon was charged with bestiality for the inappropriate actions over a six-year period. At the time the state did not have a bestiality law. However, the case forced Ohio to pass the first local bestiality ban. Within this there would be tougher penalties on individuals that acted even though no physical harm could be proven. Also, because of this a law was passed statewide, that did not at the time already have the law within their state. This law allowed animals to have some kind of voice and for notice to the abuse and harm that can be caused. I believe this action to have equal disturbance of rape towards a person or even a child. Especially since animals are not able to have a voice to tell someone they are
