Woke up on Sunday morning and decided that we would explore Hawkesbury region today, after hearing good things about it. Hawkesbury is a huge city in New South Wales and 80% of this region is national park or reserve.
We got ready, packed our things and headed out the door…bear in mind we still had no idea where we were heading to exactly! After some googling in the car we decided to visit Berowra Waters Marina. It looked heavenly with bush and water views and had great reviews.
How to get here

It took us 30 Minutes to reach from the Hills district via Old Northern Road. One of things we loved about Berowra Waters Marina was the trip getting here. 1. Hire a BBQ boat (no licence is required)

At Berowra Waters you can hire a BBQ Boat and cruise down the Hawkesbury River with family and friends. Imagine how awesome that would be! This boat is licensed for 12 people, including children. It has a sun awning, FM radio, toilet, changing area, swim ladder and of course a BBQ. You do need to book in advance and pay $50 deposit at the time of booking. The cost for the full day is $450 plus security bond of $200. If you wish to book for half the day it will cost $300.
2. Hire a kayak

Single and double kayaks are available for hire and the cost of hiring depends on the number of hour and type of kayah you want to hire. For 1 hour to hire a single Kayak will cost $20 and for a double will cost $30. You will also need to pay a $50 Bond for all kayak hires. Both are very stable for the calm waters around Berowra Creek.
