We got ready, packed our things and headed out the door…bear in mind we still had no idea where we were heading to exactly! After some googling in the car we decided to visit Berowra Waters Marina. It looked heavenly with bush and water views and had great reviews.
How to get here

It is a nice drive through the bush down to Berowra Waters. We came from the Hills district via Old Northern Road. Parts of the drive were quite scenic almost like

The water is deep yet dense with seaweed. Tree stumps lay patiently at the bottom of the clear water waiting for kids, who think they’re Jacques Cousteau, to discover with a mask and snorkel. Canoeing is the most exercise you’ll get off Kosoag Lake. To canoe across the entire lake would only take thirty minutes or so. Or one can paddle for a good 10 minutes and reach the only bar within miles of the winding, motor home populated, dead deer ridden roads: Kosoag Lake Inn. And this where it all began, or where it all ended.
I came home smelling of pine trees and campfires. I made so many memories and had so many new experiences in just a brief visit. It was unlike any camping experience I had been through before. In a way, it was life changing. I’m looking forward to exploring more of the Boundary Waters with others, and I hope to give them the same kind of experience I

For something different and a more natural view, head over to the North Shore of Sydney Harbour. The Cremorne Reserve offers beautiful views of the harbour. It's nice to step out of the city for a while and enjoy Sydney away from the big attractions and the noise of the city centre.
The canoeing was a fun event that met my expectations. It was a great experience since I never been canoeing before. Although canoeing is not extreme, there still exists a high physical component to this activity. In addition, I did not realize the numerous benefits that can be gained from canoeing. One benefit that can be gained is health by improving cardiovascular fitness. Paddling the canoe provides a great form of exercise that will increase muscle strength and reduces the risk of wear and tear on joints since it is a low impact activity. Moreover, canoeing is a full body experience, where the upper body and lower body are moving simultaneously. The challenge to maneuver the canoe was difficult at first since me and my partner were not in sync initially. The ability to communicate effectively and adjust enabled us to complete our journey without any complications.
