Believing in God's Existence
Theism is a reasonable idea. Theologians have traditionally used
several philosophical proofs in arguing for the existence of God. In
my paper I will briefly discuss different arguments that have been
used to prove God's existence. These are as follows: Cosmological;
Teleological; Ontological; Religious Experience and Evil. These
arguments are not always persuasive, but that probably says as much
about us as it does about the arguments. People most often reject God
for reasons other than logic. These arguments, however, do provide
insights that, while not proving the existence of God, do provide
insights that may be used to show evidence of His existence.
How did all things come to be? Was there a starting point or not?
Either we had a beginning or we did not have a beginning. How can
anyone believe we just came here? There has to be an explanation for
all of this. I believe God does exist. The main reason for that is
because of his consistency. The creation is ordered and predictable.
Things don't suddenly appear or disappear. Gravity doesn't suddenly
turn off at unexpected times. A kilogram of iron doesn't become half a
kilogram one day and two kilograms the next. Everything works
perfectly and in total harmony. No matter how wild and violent and
strange things may seem here on Earth and out in the universe,
everything follows universal laws. The world turns, we have night and
day. Earth orbits the sun, we have the seasons. We don't have to worry
about the sun not coming up tomorrow morning or winter lasting five
years. It strains the mind to try to imagine such a perfect universe
arising by chan...

with philosophy is that as soon as someone comes up with an argument
for anything, other philosophers see it as their duty to pick holes in
it; therefore, not many arguments about anything last for long without
being disproved. The objections included are just a taster of the sort
of things people have come up with. No-one has yet managed to prove
the existence of God through philosophy. I don't think we will ever be
able to 'prove' that God exists. There is too much about him that
humans can't possibly hope to understand. It's stupid for us to think
that we could. We have to accept that we cannot know everything about
God, but that this does not stop us from getting to know him. The only
way to truly know God is to call out to him - trust him and he will
reveal himself to you. He says so himself in the Bible.
Christ/God, the love and kindness, or the good, that the Christian religion conveys, or the inner happiness and the peace of mind, or the reward, that the person would inevetably achieve by following the word of Christ.
Not only is human connection vital to live a happy and joyful life, but it is necessary to create a legacy, and thus live on through others. But in order to do this, one must first overcome their ego and their sense of self. Once all of the “I” thoughts are gone, one can relate, but fully understand, the higher powers as well as other human beings around us. However, it is important to accept that we may never fully understand the driving force of this universe. While it can be experienced, and we can briefly get an idea of what it is, it is impossible to define these concepts in words, because we don’t have a language that transcends what we can understand. And though many recognize that these concepts could never be fully understood by the human brain, determined minds continue to ask questions that will never have an answer, “pushing their minds to the limits of what we can know” (Armstrong,
The controversial topic involving the existence of God has been the pinnacle of endless discourse surrounding the concept of religion in the field of philosophy. However, two arguments proclaim themselves to be the “better” way of justifying the existence of God: The Cosmological Argument and the Mystical Argument. While both arguments attempt to enforce strict modus operandi of solidified reasoning, neither prove to be a better way of explaining the existence of God. The downfall of both these arguments rests on commitment of fallacies and lack of sufficient evidence, as a result sabotaging their validity in the field of philosophy and faith.
In conclusion I am left pretty much in the same place as I have started. It is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of God philosophically. For every philosopher who publishes his or her opinions on the subject, three more are there to tear it down. In the end I think it is best that man does not figure out the answer to this lifelong question. Some things are better left unanswered.
The existence of God is quite controversial issue. God has different names in the world, and a lot of people, strongly believe in his existence. While, on the other hand, there are also people who don’t believe in his existence. In their discussion entitled “Does God Exist?” William Lane Craig, who is the supporter of the idea of existence of God, debates with Austin Dacey, who is an atheist, on the idea of existence of God. They provide the strong arguments and their debates are quite interesting, and innovative (not similar to those arguments, we usually read about in book). These are the fresh views on the question of existence and non-existence of God.
Whether god exists or not has been in discussion for thousands of years, and an important discussion. Whether it is rational to believe in god or not is another story, like believing in god itself, this topic has brought many discussions. It is one thing to discuss whether god is real or not and it is a complete other to discuss whether it is rational to believe in god or not. I believe that while there may not be any convincing evidence or arguments that God does exist, I do still believe that it is still rational to believe that god does exist. I think this because, believing in God is not simply just believing that he exists, but believing that it can bring good to our lives, we otherwise would not have. It teaches us to have a moral responsibility not only to others, but ourselves. It is obvious that many people do believe in god, but many of us choose to do so for reasons other than just believing in God. I do believe that just because there is no evidence, that does not mean God doesn’t exist. Like I said, God brings more to our lives than just a belief, but an ability to achieve a better one. And even if God is just an imaginary figure, he is an imaginary figure that brings hope and goodness to our lives, which we can never discount.
... his ability to forgive me. Therefore he should forgive those who don’t. believe, so betting on his existence purely out of fear would be.

Truth, what is truth? This question itself has a thousand answers, no person can ever be sure of what truth is rather, truth can be justified, it can checked for reliability with strong evidences and logic. If the evidence proves to be accurate then it can be established that a certain answer is the truth. However, have we ever tried to think about what intrigues us to seek the truth? To think about a question and set foot firmly on the path of knowledge. Definitely it has! That was the very cause itself which is why this world has witnessed some of the greatest philosophers like Aristotle, Plato and Socrates etc. along with the school of thought. The ability to think and reason is one of the greatest ability humans have, it is what distinguishes us from the animals. It is what gives us free will, the ability to control our own outcomes. However, it is that ability to ‘think’ itself which has caused men to rebel with the myths and statements established about the unseen and natural forces since the beginning of time. It gave rise to questions such as: Do aliens exist? Is there a world of the unseen? Life after Death and the most popular question since the beginning of times, Does God exists? And the answer is ‘yes’. Here is how I will justify my stance.
... that truly exists, nothing else. There is no death, because humans are immortal spirits.
This paper's purpose is to prove the existence of God. There are ten main reasons that are presented in this paper that show the actuality of God. It also shows counter-arguments to the competing positions (the presence of evil). It also gives anticipatory responses to possible objections to the thesis.
...eavens and earth were completed and God had finished the work he was doing. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy.
In this essay I discuss why there is proof that there is a supernatural being known as God, who has created everything we know and experience. The mere claim, that there could be a "Proof for the Existence of God," seems to invite ridicule. But not always are those who laugh first and think later. Remember how all-knowing doctors/scientists laughed at every new discovery?
Some have argued that trying to prove the existence of God is incompatible with religious faith of the existence of God. What do you think about this?
