Who wouldn't want to be successful in life? Innumerable different factors play a role in a student's success in high school. The primary factor is how motivated a student is in attaining success. Teachers, parents, friends, and other family members play a role in the successfulness of their child, but it is the child who holds the key to succeed. The only person that can preempt you from being successful is yourself. Some students do not heed about themselves and are preventing themselves from being successful. As a student, many have witnessed other students throwing away their homework. They claim it is too difficult and that there is no point in attempting it. These students give in when a task is too difficult to handle. Having that …show more content…
Many people have divergent definitions of the word success. Some may see it as being able to bestow their children with everything they need. My definition of success is more detailed and requires tip-top education. Success is being able to give children not only with what they need, but also with what they want. Success is being able to have a big house, and to live anywhere. In order to accomplish all these things students must stay in school. After graduating high school students must go to college and give it their all. Many students have realized this and are trying to turn their life …show more content…
Teachers are the ones who create a learning environment for students. They provide students with materials needed to accomplish tasks, and with lessons that expand their field of knowledge. Teachers assist students all the time and students still do not complete their work. Parents, and other family members also help motivate students to achieve. These relatives are the ones that the student is frequently around. Their behaviors, and accomplishments affect students mentally and physically. Some students, however, choose to ignore their parents. Friends, believe it or not, also persuade a student to perform at a certain level. If a student hangs out with intelligent individuals, most likely that student will feel the need to be their equal. If a student is motivated to succeed and they are receiving aid from teachers, parents, and friends they will most likely be very successful in
Success can be an extremely broad subject. There is an abounding amount of different views on what the “true” definition of success is. Personally, I believe that success is finding happiness. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to worry about whether or not the bills are going to be paid this month. Success is having a job that you enjoy going to every day. Success is having friends and family who love and support you. Success does not mean that one has to be exceedingly rich or have a lakeside mansion. As long as they are happy, they have succeeded in life.
most likely will not succeed because of the environment they are surrounded by. A student has trouble
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
A students’ success is a controversial issue. Every individual has different ideals for success. Student success is interdependent on four important attributes, knowing what success means to you than effort, teamwork and competition. Most of the time these ideals don’t fit the paradigm of the student success needed by a school. The idea of success for students is if they get a passing grade. Most of the time they wouldn’t even do an assignment if it wasn’t going to be graded. But schooling let alone educating others shouldn’t be focused around the grades but more on the sole purpose of the life lessons learned from the subjects taught. The success achieved is what you learn besides the subject. Therefore, student success is a difficult subject
Between school and work and studying and spending time with family and friends, most of our youth have packed schedules. Many students have the burden of honors or advanced placement classes piling homework on their shoulders. The real challenges that a youth faces is certainly how will he/she will able to survive in this world, peer pressure, and acceptance. The biggest problem is that we believe that being young automatically means that we can’t do anything important.
Another influence a person may get from a parent is the way that they behave. If a child was to see an adult acting in inappropriate ways, the child will tend to act the same. Nextly, teachers and friends have an impact on one’s character. For example, teachers have influenced my character by teaching me that learning is fun.
The true definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Although, many people have different perceptions of success. Success is judged by the individuals themselves. Success can be defined in many ways including: wealth, happiness, fame, etc. Success can be anything from material goods to concepts. It all depends on your concept and how you achieve your goals. You have to have persistence within yourself. Varying on your profession, you will need a certain skill level. Your definition of success can be suitable best for you, but not for others. It is about truly not giving up, reaching your full potential, and self-fulfillment.
Along with parents helping with homework and supervising that projects are completed, giving support to a child will make them more likely to pass from grade to grade. Without parent involvement, unless a child is self-motivated to go to school and do their work, it will be difficult to pass to the next grade level, and in time, graduate. When students see that their parents are involved in their school, it shows them that their parents care about their education. This sets a good example for the student, and they are likely to model their parents and believe that education is important and beneficial. This is especially true when students see their parents volunteering in their school. In order for a child to see their education as something important, they have to believe that their parents feel the same, especially at a young age.
Parental encouragement helps students become more successful in college because parental involvement gives the student a sense of security. The student has more confidence knowing they are not traveling though this journey alone. Parental guidance will also prevent the student from making poor choices regarding a college major. Parents will be able to
COLLEGE DEGREE TO BE SUCCESSFUL Consider ourselves to be successful. In recent times, it has been extensively discussed if a college degree is a prerequisite to be successful. However, it would be in our best interest The most essential fact about life is what causes us to be successful and when we finally to have an understanding of what criteria to be used in evaluating success. Most people probably consider being successful as relative to their job title, degree, income and material things like cars, home, expensive wears, to name a few. Naturally, those are the things that crossed our mind when we thought of being successful.
Our success is important to our life. It can determine our happiness,so we need to try hard to accomplish our goals. Some people believe that successful people try new things and try risks rather than only doing what they already know how to do well, others disagree. In my view, I think that we should try new things and take the risk for a few reasons. First of all, It can give us the sense of excitement.
Students are constantly pressured to strive to be the best they can be. They are pressured by a number of factors, such as; family, friends, teachers, and all of society and has caused students to take serious actions. An example of one of those factors are without good grades in school, it can be hard to succeed and go to college to receive a good career in the future. In today’s world there are so many challenges to overcome, people want to be the best of the best so that bring a lot of pressure to the table. Every day the world gets more competitive, and that is a lot of pressure for anyone to deal with, the pressure is a lot for young students to deal with every day. The causes of these pressures for students are parents, the school, the future, and the effect is how they handle the pressure.
There are changes that can be made to show students how to succeed after high school. High schools need to do more to prepare students for future careers by requiring more practical classes, teaching skills for future jobs and Careers, and helping students learn how to deal with “real-life” situations. All high schools have required classes that students must take in order to graduate,
Success may be defined in many ways by many people. According to Oxford English Dictionary, it is, “the prosperous achievement of something attempted.”(“Success”). That is, if one achieve his/her desire or goals, it would be considered as his/her success. But it is true that the definition and explanation varies according to the eye of beholder. Generally, Success means fulfilling the goals that you set for your life. For some, success may be money, big house and a luxury car. However, for others, success may be the happiness they feel after achieving their goal. I personally feel, success is not what is accomplished, but what is felt from
Success takes many different definitions. People have different interpretations of what success really means. For me is as simple as: living well and laughing often. The idea of living well is a very broad statement. Living well, in my opinion is getting success in personal, social and professional life. If I can achieve all of these three levels of success, I believe that I have lived well.
