A key player in making the connections and acting so amazing is the casting director, but many overlook this role. Essentially, casting is assigning a part in a movie, play, or other production, thus the casting director must find the perfect person for the job. What would be Forest Gump without Tom Hanks, or more recent parts such as Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss— we can 't image these roles played by anyone else. The casting directors picked them perfectly and knew what talent they would bring. Casting directors are crucial people when making a movie come to life and deserve more credit for their strenuous and imperative task.
The next time you 're in a conversation or hanging out in a group, challenge yourself by asking, "Can I recall the last thing each person around me said?" I 'm not expecting you to know it verbatim, nor am I asking you to remember what the introvert of the group said ten minutes ago. Just make sure you 're keyed in and focusing enough on the people around you that you 're actively aware of their contributions to the conversation.

In other words, "Acting is simply more than walking out on the stage" as Dr. Stevenson would put it. It is more than just reading the lines. To be a true actor, I believe it takes inner capabilities such as learning life. In all the books I have read, all the chapters we have reviewed in class, and in all honesty…Al Pacino is an actor I cannot forget.

Even through his impact on politics, Marlon Brando encouraged change by surpassing the expectations attached to what is expected of an actor, he went above and beyond to utilise his platform to speak out against injustices, offered support to marginalised groups and devoted his time and money towards in the hopes of a fairer society. Marlon Brando left a substantial and impressive legacy that continues to inspire actors to use Stanislavski methodology and simultaneously encourages actors to innovate and avoid shying away from trying new and different approaches, reminding actors it is okay to break conventions and experiment, which inevitably aids the progression of the ever-evolving industry. The movie “The Matrix” contains a very diverse philosophical structure and has many philosophical points, first discussed by philosophers like Plato and Descartes, throughout the movie. Some of these points consist of skepticism of reality, which relates heavily to Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”. The readings and discussions from class have
“Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.” ― Meryl Streep.
