A vast majority of our population find operating a manual transmission, or stick shift, to be extremely difficult. However, in actuality all it takes is some serious practice and devotion to make driving a stick shift like second nature. For successful driving, the same steps must be followed each time the car is driven.

What kind of task do the vet techs do on the job daily? “It depends on where people work at usually, but the workers come in and check the pets that are in hospital that need additional care. How to Drive a Manual Transmission According the to LA Times less than 3% of all cars sold in the U.S. have manual transmissions. Manual cars ,also known as “stickshifts”, were the first type of transmissions used in automobiles and gradually have been fazed out for automatics over the past few decades. One of the major reasons for the lack of manual cars is there is less of a demand for them. An abundance of people do not know how to drive manuals therefore the demand for them is diminishing.
Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest for the automotive industry. From car trivia to novel innovations, my innate passion for the automotive industry has always made me research the minutest detail of every vehicle that interested me. Since elementary school I would draw sketches of cars which incorporated technology which were unheard of at that time; novel devices such as electrochromic windshields, HUD displays, and wind turbines which would constantly re-generate electricity for the car. While growing up, my hobbies largely consisted of constructing countless Lego and Meccano sets, and repairing my mom’s 19 year-old car. In middle school, math and science were my favorite subjects: applying science and mathematics to solve real-world problems has fascinated me and I have also taken further steps to reach my goals. By the age of thirteen I devised a scaled model of a heliostat power plant, which successfully powered a light bulb. The mathematics beyond the focus points of parabolic dishes and thermodynamics was very advanced for my age, but I took up the challenge...
Like nearly every other professional today, automotive technicians need to be comfortable with computer-based equipment. Cars are more computerized than ever before. I am interested in auto repair as a career because I love to work with my hands and I like taking on challenges. The collision industry is growing and it will only continue to grow, manufacturers will design new vehicles every year, keeping my job interesting, challenging and fun. What I hope to achieve in the collision industry is open a custom shop with my cousin, he is currently attending Lincoln tech to be a gas/diesel technician. I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard after I turned 17; after I graduated high school in May 2012 I went to basic training and advanced individual training to be a machinist and welder. I returned home April 2013 not knowing what I wanted to do, even though I enjoyed welding I didn’t see myself as a welder for the rest of my life so I enrolled in Austin Community College to study criminal justice and started working security part time.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving.
There are hundreds of occupation around the world, few of which anyone would want to do. Being an electrician is one of them. Electrician keep lighting, electrical system around a building and generator working. Being an electrician can also be dangerous. You can die if you get Electrocuted by touching cables that have running current through them.
It has taken a very long time for me to decide on the path that I wanted to take for my career. I have almost always known that I wanted to be an engineer. I was always more interested in applying my knowledge to solve problems rather than just research and understand the world. However, I had little to no inkling as to which field of engineering I wanted to go in to. I had always been a dabbler, involving myself in a large variety of activities with the interest of learning about how stuff works. I started out learning how to use the tools in the shed outback, making pinewood derby cars and model rockets. I would help my dad with home improvement and repair projects around the house. As time went on, my ability learns and apply
I want you to think back to what might be the greatest invention ever. Dependant upon how well you know your history you could possibly say the wheel, the car, the airplane, the television, the autonomous robot. All of these are great ideas that have different eras in history, but they all have something in common, these creations were all invented by engineers. Do not get the misconception that engineers have been around since the dawn of time but the concept of engineering itself has. Those great revolutionaries all had ideas and solved problems which are still qualities that engineers of this day and age use. Webster defines engineering as, “the work of designing and creating large structures or new products or systems by using scientific methods.” Those people created new products so they would today be considered engineers, but they are slightly different. What makes them different is the field that they would be considered a part of. The broadest one of the oldest forms is mechanical engineering, which is my future profession.
