The career that I selected is to become an auto mechanic. I have had this great interest in car motors and how they work. I want to pursue this career for many reasons, mostly for financial interests. As I grew older I picked up on many things and I took apart things to see how they worked. I know many things about motors and their components, most than the average person would know. Fixing vehicles is something I have dreamed of doing since I was young. For many years I’ve wanted to be a mechanic. If I ever had a chance to become one I would take it. They get to run diagnostics on motors, mess with the undercarriage, fix brakes, etc. It’s a fairly easy career depending on the experience I have and the level of ability I am capable of. The career I chose is sports medicine. Sports medicine is a career based on helping those injured whether they are an athlete or a 23-year-old in a car accident. After doing some research on which career is best for me, I chose sports medicine because I have a fascination with helping those that may be hurt, out of shape, or in rehab and need to get back on their feet. Sports medicine has always been my dream job because it fills that desire for me to help those that are injured, allowing me to expand into different branches to provide assistance to those recovering; also providing an income that I will be able to live comfortably.

My Career The career field I chose is to be a firefighter. The reason why I want to be a firefighter is because they help people and prevent fires from spreading. There are times when you find yourself in a fix, with the car suddenly dying on you, while on the way to work. To your dismay, you realized that it’s out of warranty, but you still need to have it fixed immediately, as it is your only means of transport. You did the next best thing, and have it towed towards the nearest repair shop to get an estimate of repair. The mechanic calls later, to give you a litany of parts that needs to be replaced and repaired. The list seemed endless, and you get shock by the amount involved that you have to shell out. You then wonder if the mechanic is just trying to swipe a few bucks from you, since you don’t understand anything about cars.
