The Australian values are used so that other people with different cultures and beliefs can feel equal with other people that have different cultures and beliefs.
“A Fair Go is when people get the same chance of doing something as everyone else. They are allowed to have an equal chance to succeed in their goals. It is when they can have an education, medical attention and a job. It is when people aren’t treated poorly because of gender, culture and beliefs. It means that violence and discrimination against other people that have different cultures and beliefs is not allowed. Australia’s use of secularism is a sign of freedom and equality. Australia’s secularism is also the separation of religious institutes and the government. This decreases the chance of the government being influenced or manipulated by religious institutes. Brazil, Chile, Singapore and Japan are some examples of secular nations, Argentina, Cambodia, Egypt and Greece are some examples of non-secular nations. When The White Australia Policy was completely removed the number of migrants settling in Australia increased and the migrants experienced challenges during their stay. Australia has done everything to assist migrants with their challenges. Ever since 1973 the term multiculturalism became a part of Australia’s identity and migrants created ways to sustain and keep their cultures and traditions permanently. Migrants tried persuading the government to create religious institutes to keep their religions alive in Australia. They answered that they migrated by plane. The 2nd question was how long was the flight. They answered that the flight was 10 hours long. The 3rd question was did they have any trouble getting into the flight. They answered that they didn’t have any trouble getting into the flight. The 4th question was were there any challenges during the trip. They answered that there weren’t any challenges during the trip. The last question was why they migrated to Australia. They answered for a better future and lifestyle for everyone. I believe that multiculturalism is an important value in the Australian identity. It shows that
