One of those weaknesses include the change of the Head Coach. In 2016 Carlton appointed a new head coach with little experience of being in that department. The highest position he had been before that was assistance coach. Bolton had a lot of pressure on him, seeing as the previous coach was sacked within the middle of the season (2015). He made a few changes within the team by getting rid of a bunch of players that were not going to be a part of the clubs future. Bolton also made a bunch of changes to the structure of the game plan. Yes a good thing to come out of it all was that the team did improve but it stills shows how much more there is to improve. During the 2016 season Carlton only won 7 games and lost 15. They ended up coming 14th out of 18 teams. Another weakness was that due to poor results in the 2015 season they were not allowed to have a game on a Friday night. Attendance was also not just a strength for the club but it was also a weakness for the club. When comparing the 2015 and 2016 data the total of people who attended their home games had decreased by 33,776 people. While the average per game had also decreased by 3,070

with, kicking, or passing it. With passing, though, you can only pass the ball backwards or directly to your side, never forward. Like football, you score by running the ball into the endzone or by kicking it through the uprights. Also, you must touch the ball to the ground for it to count, and it is worth five points. When kicking, the ball can be kicked from anywhere spontaneously. If it passes through the uprights, it is worth three points, as in football.

“Last week we had two new combinations in the halves and we managed to come away with a win,” said Mataka. “We’ve had a few players in and out, especially in the halves, but I think it comes down to the boys stepping up to the plate when they’re asked to. “I guess it all depends on what Canberra’s doing, cause they’re obviously having a strong finish to the season, so whatever players they send back, same thing goes as usual, we’ll just shuffle players where they need to be put in. “It’s not normally until Thursday when we find out what’s going on, but I think we’ve shuffled well this year putting players in different competitions.”
Sport fans, sometimes also called sport devotees, followers, or supporters, are persons who are enthusiastically devoted to a particular athlete, team or sport. They may show their enthusiasm by often attending sporting events or watch on television, being members of a fan club, follow sport news through newspapers, online websites, and creating fanzines. Their disposition is often such that they will experience a game or event by living through their favored players or teams. These behaviors manifest itself in different ways. To enable better understanding of these behavioral patterns, we have to classify these sports fans into groups based on their devotion to teams: fair-weather fans, bandwagon and the super-fans.
When it comes to physical contact sports, there are two categories, collision sports and tackling sports. American football, ice hockey, lacrosse, boxing, and many more are considered collision sports. Tackling sports would consider rugby, Gaelic football, Australian rules football, and even soccer as some of the world’s tackling sports. A collision sport is way more dangerous than a tackling one. For example, in a football game, it is pretty typical to see players lose their helmet’s, ripped out of their jersey’s, and be taken off the field by ambulance. Reason being is because nowadays players feel like they are Iron Man...

Both articles mentioned the need for a geographically national competition as a way to appeal to millions of Australians nationwide. In 2005, the Australia leagues known as the A-league was introduced which help to de-ethics and help to give the game a new sense of national identity, giving members from different cities, states and ethnicities duties to support, invest and share common values in football. National competition in football helps to break down walls in terms of social identities, (Gender, age, status and cultural etc.). The report also calls for privatisation of the national league in Australia, business mind-oriented people started to invest in Australia football which led to soccer teams such as Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC being privately own and resulted in professional competition as well as media exposure. Consumerism and demography helped to transformed soccer in Australia.

Students who participate in academic clubs gain knowledge outside of the classroom that applies later on in the class. The final type of club is a sports club”(North).
Association football is played in agreement with a set of rules known as the ‘Laws of the Game’. The game is played using a sphere-shaped ball of 71 cm circumference known as the ‘football’ or ‘soccer ball’. Two teams of eleven players each participate to get the ball into the other team’s goal, thus scoring a goal. The team that has scored more goals at the end of the game wins. If both teams have scored an equal number of goals then the game is a tie. Each team is controlled by a captain.
The promotion lead to the arrival of the new manager Phil Kelso, who managed to take the team to the semi-finals of the FA cup two consecutive years, but lost both against Newcastle United in 1906 and Sheffield Wednesday 1907. Just as a few years ago, the team stayed in the mid-table, until relegation was avoided by two points in the 1909/10 season. During that time, while the club was near a bankrupt, the chairman of Fulham football club took over.
