A person who wants to get into this field much be proficient with different types of recording equipment and will often simply choose one aspect of the process to master. There are 8 basic branches that an engineer can choose from. A studio engineer is someone who works in a studio with a producer or one that works in a studio alone as a producing sound engineer. They are responsible for making the different tracts sound the best that it is able to. They analyze the technical and musical aspects of the present sounds and adjust their equipment and performance of the artist so that it sounds the best that it possible can. A mixing engineer takes different tracks and mixes them together. This can be useful if you have a performers voice on one track and the music on another. They must balance and adjust the different tracks so that it sounds good and will appeal to an audience. Some sound engineers work specifically on games. They are responsible for all the sound effects and music that makes a game interesting and realistic. They must be familiar with the game that they are working on and place appropriate sounds in the places where it is needed. A live sound engineer is responsible for making the sounds produced at a live performance or event sound their best. They may be responsible for setting up speakers in the best places, using a mixing board, and managing any sounds or noises that is required. They commonly work with bands and any other individuals who often give live performances. Fold back engineers also work at live events.
They monitor and enhance what the audience hears. They are supposed to make sure that audience hears all the important things while trying to cut back on other sounds. System engineers are responsible for the design, setup, and operation of PA systems. These systems may be really complex and can often be difficult to manage. They must set them up and design them so that they are able to properly manage any of the sounds that are produced. Audio post engineers edits and mixes the sound that is produced for films and television shows. They must manage all the different sounds that are required to make them seem realistic and to appeal to the audience. They must also balance the sound effects so that actors voices are not covered up or overshadowed by them. There are several different branches that a person interested in audio engineering can choose from. You should choose which one best suits your interests and talents for a career. Sound engineers must the capable of using a variety of different equipment and must be able to listen and analyze the audio for any given

Three out of five of these channels speak to the audio parts of the brain, which means that while sound design is subtle, and often underrated, it is one of the most important elements that makes a film (Thayer, Levenson 45).
An audio engineer is responsible for the operation of the soundboard and other equipment in the recording of music, words, sounds, or any combination of such material. There are several types of engineering positions available in today's studios. In large studios, there are usually several engineers, each with the own duties and contributions. There are recording engineers, recording assistants, set-up engineers, maintenance engineers, and even mix-down engineers in some cases. In smaller studios the engineer is usually responsible for all of these duties. As a rule, the engineer should be able to set-up, use, and fix the equipment they work with.
Becoming a music producer can mean discovering and helping make the careers of artists. However, it takes time, effort, training and contacts. That's because a music producer has plenty of responsibilities during an album's production, both on the creative and the business looks sides. The producer supervises all aspects of the recording process, from helping to select songs to contracting with session players and deciding the sound of the song, selecting the studio and engineers, booking studio time and overseeing the recording budget.
Record Producer is a person who creates beats for other music artist or for themselves. A producer has many roles such as creating a blueprint for the project, selecting songs and musicians, coaching the artist in the studio, controlling the recording sessions, and supervising the entire production. Producers also often take on a wider management role with responsibility for the cost, schedules, and negotiations. A producer aims to gain popularity in the music industry or individual positive exposure to music labels (such music companies as Sony, OVO sound, Def Jams, etc.) Nowadays record producers create music to get label contract or to be heard on the radio.

Most of the applications in terms of speech and audio compression may seem obvious at first, but what most do not realize is the scale at which it is used. Some of the more common examples include: telephone communications, compact disc players in the form of digital audio coding, stereo sound systems, speech recognition and playback, noise reduction/filtering after voice recognition and speech synthesis [1]. The uses of DSP for speech and audio compression is certainly not limited to these examples, but just these alone are examples that the general public use through various devices on a daily basis often without realizing the function of the systems and processes that go into their operation.
For this task the brief was to design the construction, soundproofing and acoustic treatment of a recording studio complex within a series of set constraints. The complex had to include a control room, living room, reception and bathroom, within an overall floor space of 15m x 15m. The main focus was to be on acoustic design with the use of scale drawings to make the studio clear and easy to understand. For this studio the idea was to design a space suitable for recording large ensemble groups such as orchestras and so the space was designed with this in mind when regarding the size, shape and layout of the space. Arguably two of the most important aspects when designing a studio complex are that the live and control rooms include a lot of natural light and that the communication between the artists and the studio team is free and easy. In the studio this has achieved this by creating a design similar to and inspired by ‘The Big Room’ at Real World Studios (Realworldstudios.com, 2013), where the ‘control room’ and ‘live room’ are actually all within the one space utilising the live end/dead end theory.
Engineering is the application of scientific, economic design and a wide range of other specialized fields of engineering. As an engineer, there are four major different areas of engineering work that I can concern about, that is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Beyond this four, sources separate to other main branches. Based on the electrical engineering is concerned with the basic forms of energy that run the world, there is a hopeful future in taking this major as my direction of future. However, what exactly is the benefit of this major; am I suppose to choose this major; what kinds of job opportunities that I am able to get and various of other questions are what I concerned the most.
The first thing I think of when I hear the word music is country or hip-hop, because that is what I mainly listen too. I listen to country music the most, and I can relate the songs to my life. They sing a lot about trucks, women, and drinking beer, and I would say that is a big part of my life, especially drinking beer. I grew up in rural Montana and all my friends parents were farmers or ranchers. My hometown reminds me of the places that country singers sing a lot about and I can relate to that. Relating music to my major might be a bit more difficult. Music itself might not be engineered, but musical instruments have to be engineered to make the right sound come out of them. All musical instruments that are created are engineered by someone and they all have different designs. The design of an instrument depends a lot on what sound it produces and to change the sound you need engineering.
