The first thing I think of when I hear the word music is country or hip-hop, because that is what I mainly listen too. I listen to country music the most, and I can relate the songs to my life. They sing a lot about trucks, women, and drinking beer, and I would say that is a big part of my life, especially drinking beer. I grew up in rural Montana and all my friends parents were farmers or ranchers. My hometown reminds me of the places that country singers sing a lot about and I can relate to that. Relating music to my major might be a bit more difficult. Music itself might not be engineered, but musical instruments have to be engineered to make the right sound come out of them. All musical instruments that are created are engineered by someone and they all have different designs. The design of an instrument depends a lot on what sound it produces and to change the sound you need engineering.
Being an engineer is a lot about rhythm. Rhythm is the way music moves through time, and that could be related to how a house or a toy is created. Over time engineers come up with new ways to make houses more efficient. The house must have a type of rhythm about it in order to make it better over time, just like how artists make music more appealing to different generations. Music is created so people can enjoy it and relate to it, and that changes over time. Music is always changing to meet different people’s needs and that is the same with engineering. People are always changing what they want and as engineers we have to change the way we build things in order to fulfill those needs. Tempo deals with the speed at which the piece travels and in engineering it can take a very long time for new ideas to be incorporated into our lives, which...

...fferent types of harmony, rhythm, and tuning that all music has in it is how we as people get things done whether you are an engineer or a doctor. I relate my life so much to music, because I might hear that beat that is going fast, and right then I might think I am living a fast-paced life and I want to change that, so then maybe I listen to a slower song that calms me down and slows time. Everybody’s life is a song and whether that song has lyrics or not is up to how we live our lives. My song would have lyrics and it would be a country song, but that is just me and I do so many of the things that country singers sing about. It could be a slow song sometimes or a fast song in country, it all depends on what I am going through in life. Everyone has their own song in life and it changes, mine has changed many times. Believe in yourself and make your life into music.
I think music has a way of explaining something or telling a story. Music can bring up happy times, it can also bring up sad times as well. Certain songs can remind someone of troubling issues from a past, can be the reminder of someone you have lost, it can also be a reminder of many happy times; such as weddings, high school dances, or even just hanging out with friends in the back
Now music and life are bound up with each other, enough to be called an inextricable connection. Music has been developed by following the human society, and its developmental steps are very similar to the growth of ideology. For example, one concept became a major of society, and then another concept tried to be against the major. In other words, music has many different genres because of the number of major influences such as the Great Depression and technological advances. African-Americans had massive influences on the musical genre.
The raw emotion that goes into a Country song is how I can relate to the song. The artist`s lyrics and the way the artist sings the song is how I can relate to what the artist is trying to say. For example, artists write their lyrics about many different things that they have been through
There are various aspects of our lives and of those there is music. Music is an inextricable part of life. It can be dated back to the most primitive of time. Where there are humans there is some form of music varying from culture to culture. Languages, belief systems and many other variables within a nation have great influence on what is considered music and what’s not music. This is why it is very important when listening to music to consider the context in which it was created in. This will enable you to appreciate the different sounds and musical constructions such as rhythm, melody, harmony and also the lack thereof. American music is fundamentally diverse because of the many ethnicities and subcultures. These attributes of society are also found in other nations around the world. The Middle East, Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa are nations of varied ethnic groups whom have expressed their beliefs, culture and other extra musical influences in their music. Through the study of many ethnomusicologists in these regions we can acknowledge and or comprehend the different sounds of music apart from our ethnocentric understanding of music.
Since the earliest days of human civilization music has been a key tool for communication of stories which carried emotions through them. If we think back to our youngest years of life music has surrounded us whether it was from our parents singing us lullabies or from some sort of toy that played music we can say that musical melodies have helped shape or lives one way or another. Once we start growing up and figuring out who we are our musical preferences change; some people like classical and some like punk. We start to befriend people who like the same music as us and eventually we may attend a musical event. Our lives somewhat revolve around the music that we listen to.
Everyone knows how different emotions feel, so when they hear it accurately portrayed in a song they can sympathise with the singer. The way country songs convey emotions in a simple way, can tell you that those who like this music like for things to be simple. Those who like country music do what they can to lead a simple life. Songs of other genres often convey emotions in a much more complex way. The people who like these other genres often like they idea of having complex emotions and leading complex lives. How complicated a person's life is often directly correlates to the pace at which they live their lives. Which is parallel to how the meaning in a country song directly correlates to the emotion behind the
Because of human intention, people have music. So I think music should be related to human intention. The next thing is about human perception. The interesting thing of music 's origin is that there is no clear record to tell the public when and how people have music. The time period, about 60,000 and 30,000 years ago, is an indecisive period and it only came from speculation. So maybe music emerged in different ways in different places, just as now in the world every country or even every city have its own musical cultures. In this perspective, music is really subjective since it is inescapable tied to culture and the experience of the audience. Hence, music is all about personal opinion, which is corresponding to perception. Even though music does have some basic component, everyone has different opinion on music. The definition of music should satisfies the subjective of music. "To be successful, a definition of music must balance these various stories, defining music in terms of its traditions"(Davis 552). The HIP approach solve this difficulty by reserving the subjective of music and balance various musical cultures and traditions in the world. This definition lets the audience judge if they think the sound belongs to music. Therefore, a successful definition of music should be related to human perception since only in this way can balance the various cultures. From the analysis

Music defines our culture. As Americans, we listen to music while we drive our cars, are at work, doing housework, studying, etc. We have songs for special occasions: Christmas, Hanukah, birthdays, weddings, parties, etc. We have taken songs from the various cultures that make us diverse: Arabic, German, Mexican, Native American, etc. We have many genres: country, hip-hop, rap, pop, blues, jazz, rock, heavy metal, etc. And although we may think of music as simple and easy, looking at all this makes one realize how diverse and complex our music truly is. Two things that contribute to this diversity are theme and symbolism.

To fully understand any musical style, one must be able to analyze the various elements of music as they exist in that particular style. In this first musical close-up, we shall briefly describe these elements of music. In subsequent musical close-ups, we shall examine one or another of these elements in greater detail as it pertains to a given style or topic.
Music is a basic part of everyday life. What makes music unique is its ability to create an emotional response in a person. A music education program should develop the aesthetic experience of every student to its highest potential. Aesthetics is the study of the relationship of art to the human senses. Intelligence exists in several areas, which includes music. The concept of aesthetics allows us to see into ourselves, which in turn helps the development of the intelligences. Not only are these intelligences brought up greatly in music education, but they can be transferred to other areas as well, allowing students to grow more through their other subjects.
To some a hobby, a job, a passion, a stress reliever. How sports and music are similar are that we practice and perform for both. For sports we either to run in a cross country meet, or swim in the event, or to hit, or catch in baseball or softball, to shoot in the correct basket, score in the right goal, or to land the correct way. In music it means to preform at a concert, or at contests. In different ways music pumps people up. For football in might be a faster or harder beat. For gymnastics and dance it would be a rhythm music for their floor routine. For skating or running it would be a slow but yet fast enough best to not clam us down but to get out minds mentally ready for the challenge. All of them have a rating. A competitive part to make sure they we succeed. We all try to get the fastest time, or highest points, or get the superior rating, or to hit the high or low notes. All of these are challenging. That is why we try so hard to meat our limits, to set goals. The one purpose is to give it all and to never fail, because "practice makes perfect". Each sport has the correct position or spot on the team for a person for many reasons. For music you are placed by the range of your voice. Music and sports are similar by the place you are positioned on your ability, and how each song or sport pushes you to your

Through music we are able to comprehend someone’s personality, their views, their culture, and who they are as an overall person. The music you listen to is a reflection of who you are and your own personal thoughts. As I reflect on the music I listen to I came to the conclusion that I gravitate towards songs that depict the emotions we feel through lyrics while being able to relate it to my own personal experiences.
