The Atlanta Falcons are a Southern professional football team located in Atlanta, GA. The Falcons were formed in 1966 by Rankin M. Smith. They have been playing the NFL 51 years. The division they play in is the NFC South, in which they are the oldest team to be in the south besides the Miami Dolphins. They are known for winning multiple division championships and making their first Super bowl appearance in 1998.
Some of things that the Falcons are known for is their slogan “Rise Up”, the use of “Dirty birds” as nickname for them and the Georgia Dome where they play all their home games. After analyzing the Falcons and their brand, I created a SWOT analysis that touched on the points that the they could improve and factors they could use to their advantage.
The strengths that the Falcons have are they have a lot of access to recruiting college standout athletes, names like Devonta Freeman, Vic Beasley, and Jalen Collins just to name a few. Another one of their strengths is winning the NFC South and having the chance to advance to the playoff round. This brings more attention to the Falcons and brings in more revenue. The weaknesses that the Falcons have are they are constantly losing regular season games and the losses come back to back. As a franchise owner, it looks bad on the team because they could lose fans, revenue and possible prospects. The opportunities that the Falcons possess are they have a new stadium being built which could potentially bring in more fans and have a better game day experience for fans in the new stadium. Other opportunities are a growing population which could possibly bring in a new fan base and targeting the younger generation which could also get people more involved on social media with the team. It’s also a convenience for travelers who frequent Atlanta who want to see an NFL game. The use of social media helps get the word out about different games and events coming up in the community. revenue. The communication and promotion considerations of the Falcons are that they provide a stable environment to insure there will not be any potential economic disruptions. Major disruptions could influence consumer spending and technological advancement the different ways the Falcons try to communicate with the fans are player to fan relations, community outreach and their official website that lists things such as corporate sponsors, the schedule, roster and merchandise sales. Some of the promotions that the Falcons participate in are the Aaron’s Game Day Giveaway and the Coach of the Week. The Atlanta Falcons is known for its down south traditions and division championships. Some ways that the Falcons can improve their brand would 1) establish a coaching staff that can bring a winning season and accommodate the recruits that the Falcons receive every year and 2) figure out a better way to bring in more fans. They could also include different ways to increase their revenue such as dropping the ticket prices some and engaging with potential fans in the community making them want to become a part of the Falcons organization. With the building of the new stadium, it should bring in more revenue and have fans more excited about coming to games. Another way the Falcons could expand their brand is by having more promotions to get fans excited about coming to the games and different Falcons events. Using these tools can help increase the Falcons brand and bring more awareness to them.

It has been ranked amongst the top 20 theme parks in Europe. The main aim for Thorpe park is to become world leader and providing best of entertainment and high quality of health and safety standards (Total Thorpe park, 2016).
Other marketing strategies used in during this farewell season are commemorating former players, coaches, and hall of famers as well as a count down display in left field. The display is being used to count down the number of home games left this season. The count down will reach zero during the 5th inning of the final home game against The Detroit Tigers which has almost been sold out, nearly six months in advance. These marketing strategies have proven to be beneficial and should be continued considering the attendance is up from last year. However, there is always room for improvements. The Atlanta Braves should consider new marketing strategies to improve fan experiences which will improve overall fan satisfaction as discussed earlier. Strategies to improve fan experience involve anything that will create a “valued experience” for a consumer (Sarstedt, 2014). Bringing old traditions from Turner Field to SunTrust Park is one way to create a valued experience for fans who are disgruntled over the move to Cobb County. Being that the Atlanta Braves are a team of tradition, it would be wise to implement old traditions in the new stadium to not only satisfy the concerns of disgruntled fans, but to bring a sense of community to the new stadium for the entire fan base.

Do you like professional football? Have you ever wondered where teams originate from? Or what teams have been around the longest? The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional team that has an extensive history. There are also many unique details about them that other NFL teams do not have. There creator was a great man who started the team from practically nothing, their name and logo represent great tradition, and lastly, they have won many championships.
Where are the fans? That is the most commonly asked question at a University football game. During the past few years at University football games, the university has been lacking with their football fans. How come nobody comes to the games? At most universities, football season is the largest season of the year. People spend hundreds of dollars on season tickets and go out of their way to attend the games. What can the university do to attract more fans to their games?
Now don’t be confused on the word football, since I am not talking about “soccer” at all. Football which is otherwise known as the NFL or the National Football League, is an American based sport that involves thirty-two teams from cities all over the country that compete against each other through strategy and strength in order to reach one goal; to win the Super Bowl.
College football is a major part of many peoples' lives, especially here in the South. Whether we or someone we know is an alumni, we plan to go there in the future we think the uniforms are cute, or whatever reason, we always have one favorite team we cheer for. sometimes fans of a team will wear a shirt with the team's logo and that is as far as their loyalty goes. Others may attend a few games a season, but there are also those die hard fans that never miss a game or always tailgating, screaming at the refs, and have the team's fight song as their ringtone. While all that may seem a little overboard, there are people believe it or not, who take their team devotion as far as killing to show their devotion to their favorite team. Having team spirit is one thing, but when lines are crossed and people begin causing major problems, security should be tightened at games, even if colleges have to change a few things to pay for the extra help.
I remember growing up a Bucs fan and my father a die-hard and the most loyal Vikings fan on this planet. The Bucs and the Vikings would square off head to head every year from 1977 to 2001 as division rivals all though the Vikings played the Bucs in 2002, the first season the two teams played each other as nondivision rivals. The two teams have met and the Bucs have won 4 out of 5 of those meetings, the Vikings won the last time they visited Raymond James Stadium in 2014 and I think anyone could have easily beat Tampa Bay that season with their third team players starting the game.
Following one’s hometown team or childhood NFL team through the regular season, playoffs, and hopefully, the Super Bowl has become a staple of today’s culture. AT&T Stadium (formerly known as Cowboys Stadium) was introduced to the world on May 27, 2009, when country singer and Texas-own George Strait performed in front of 60,188 fans. A few months later, on September 20th, and 4 years to the day after the stadium ground was broken, the Cowboys played their first regular season game versus the New York Giants. The attendance on this historic night was 105,121. Although AT&T Stadium’s listed capacity is 80,000 people, the standing room only areas on the east and west side of the stadium referred to as Party Passes ($29) gives the stadium the potential to hold up to 105,000.
The SWOT analysis is a useful tool for identifying our personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to our plans and goals. According to a “Fuel My Motivation” article (2010), this analysis considers internal influences that can positively or negatively affect our ability to achieve our goals. The internal factors are our strengths and weaknesses. Also considered are opportunities and threats, which are external influences that can have a positive or negative impact on the ability to achieve our goals. I will share how the self-assessment instruments and self-exercises in this course have contributed to assessing and understanding my strengths and weaknesses. I will also discuss techniques I will use to leverage my strengths and understand my weaknesses. In addition, I will consider opportunities that I can take advantage of and the threats that can possibly impede my progress.
